No. Read it again. You misinterpreted what I said plain and simple. Read it again:Don't try to use the reading comprehension angle. You're making the 'established' debate point and I called you out on it.
What I meant when I said this is that you were calling Bridgewater/Boyd better QB's than Smith/Manuel even though the former have never played a down in the NFL, while Manuel has and has proven himself as a good QB. You completely twisted that to mean something completely different.Never assume that a prospect is better than a player who has actually been successful in the NFL. That kind of thinking is just dumb. (I'm referring to EJ Manuel when I say "successful in the NFL" by the way)
WTF is your problem? Then you have no excuse.
Still think Alex Smith should have been playing?

I never said the 49ers should have kept Smith.
I said I find the humor and irony in dumping Alex Smith in favor of Kaepernick, and in response Kaepernick stinks up the joint for 2 and a half games while Alex Smith continues his "he just wins but nobody gives him credit for it because he didn't put enough fantasy points or highlight reel plays" success.
t:Alex Smith never got a McDonalds commercial.
But not a speaking role.![]()
I think Kaepernick has more upside than Smith though. I do think that some pundits pegged him as the G.O.A.T. a little too prematurely, but I think he has a lot of potential to develop into a superstar QB for years to come. Smith is solid enough, and with a good team around him, perhaps you could win a championship. But I think Kaep has the potential to be the catalyst that could take a team to the next level, versus just being a guy who doesn't make a lot of mistakes.
Watching the same people who whined and complained everytime Alex -WON- because he didn't do it flashy enough
Once again, not true.now turning around and excusing every mistake Colin makes, even if he's a main contributor to the team's struggles, simply because he's not Alex and he's "flashy".
Not to mention that the Chiefs have been winning in spite of themselves through terrible play of their opponents. The Chiefs wins have all been pretty ugly and Alex Smith has had very little to do with them.
Not true at all.
People said what they said about Alex Smith because he wasn't a quarterback that could lead his team into the playoffs and excel. The keyword there is lead. The dreaded term "game manager" applies to him. I mean that in the least disrespectful way possible. Matt Schaub fits the same exact bill. Yes, that team has Foster, Johnson, Watt, and Cushing, but with Matt Schaub at the helm, Houston won't be going to a Super Bowl.
Once again, not true.
Nobody is excusing Kaepernick. He played two putrid games. Numbers don't lie. He's been scrutinized for his performance. For the last two weeks, you have been magnifying Colin's two bad games and trying to validate Alex Smith being wronged. You keep going on about it. However, you also keep forgetting something. It's only Week 4. I'll stress that......Week 4. Wait before Thanksgiving before you start mentioning Alex Smith. Goodness gracious, Nell. You've been too early with your words. Chill and wait until November.
I personally can't stand Kaepernick. I think he is as arrogant and obnoxious as his coach, but anyone who says that the Niners made the wrong move is delusional. Kaepernick could have the worst sophomore slump (although not technically a sophomore) of all time, and trading Smith in favor of Kaepernick would still be the right move. Kaepernick has potential to be a great NFL quarterback. Alex Smith is at his glass ceiling and it is that of a game manager.
