Damn, last week there were defensive players doing German suplexes. Now, we got people dishing out spinebusters.

HAHA! That's awesome.

I'm glad the Broncos won, but man, Eli Manning, was just throwing picks to throw them, it seemed. Especially that last one.

One was a fluke, off the hands of the receiver, then off the defenders foot. Another won, the receiver stopped running. That was the last one.

The 2 bombs into the end zone into triple coverage, I understand he's trying to make a play and with a defense giving up points, no running game, he was really trying to force it and try and make something happen. He doesn't need to do that.

I wonder...

After the Steelers go 0-16 this season, do you think the Rooneys will entertain the idea of firing Mike Tomlin?

No they shouldn't.

Yes they should. They have nothing to lose at this point. From a marketing standpoint it makes sense. Might as well give their fans what they want. Plus, it all but assures them the #1 pick in the draft.

Andy Dalton's deep ball is pretty goddamn ugly. He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Ugly win, but I'll take it.

It really is, he could overthrow a government himself.

best part of last night's game was when James Harrison teleported into the booth with Gruden and Tirico

Goodell's probably going to fine him for that. :p

I disagree with the belief that Ron Rivera will be the first coach fired this year. I think it will be Jim Schwartz. Panthers just aren't on the same level as the Saints and Falcons. They aren't ready to compete but for Ron Rivera's presence, and with Chudzinski gone, there is no one waiting in the wings to audition for next season. The Panthers are losing due to a lack of talent. They just aren't there yet.

The Lions on the other hand are beating themselves. They are one of the most purely talented teams in the NFL, yet it is going to waste in a huge way. I think if they are under .500 at their bye week (in Week 9), they will fire Schwartz and give Scott Linehan the reigns. He may not be "auditioning," but he has some head coaching experience and can hold down fort until next season and possibly even put together a respectable run.

Matt, how did the Steelers become so bad, so quickly? I mean, they're legitimately terrible now.

Atlanta's season is quickly starting to crumble.

Stephen Jackson: out.
Sean Weatherspoon: out.
Kroy Biermann: out.
Roddy White: not out, but is limited.

 :(

Sorry to tell you this Fire but Atlanta wasn't going anywhere anyway.

*banned*

You must be under the mistaken impression that something called "accountability" exists in the Lions organization, which I can assure you that after being a fan for 38 years, it does not.

It isn't quickly. They've been on a downward spiral for awhile. Tomlin has completely failed to rebuild Cowher's squad. And the Cowher team was good enough and young enough to remain competitive and even win a Super Bowl....but after nearly 10 years, the chickens are coming home to roost for Mike Tomlin and we are seeing him for what he is: the Barry Switzer of his generation.

Watching his post game press conferences is cringe inducing. Like, where's that fake intensity during the game and in the locker room?

Linehan is not the answer, that man is not a good coach. Maybe now that he is older he will be better but in St. Louis he is not well liked.
