The NFL East is bad, and Dallas, dare I say it, is probably the most balanced team in that division....so no, I'm not kidding.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the Chiefs actually beating the Eagles tonight. I'm glad they're off to a good start because I have a soft spot for KC Chiefs.

This game is pathetic. Philly should be blowing KC out. KC is so much worse than their record implies. They are a team that makes countless mistakes and lacks any type of explosiveness. They are one quarter away from being 3-0, without having won a single game, but by rather having opponents beat themselves.

Philly's problem isn't their offense, but their pathetic defense. They should've brought in a defensive-minded coach to be their HC and not Chip Kelly. Right now they can only hope to win by outscoring their opponent because the defense cannot stop anybody

Agree that Defense is the problem in Philly

but yet last night their defense was the strongest of their three units and kept the game from getting out of hand by denying KC in the red zone all but one time.

Yeah, the defense kept that game from being a blowout.

Aldon Smith arrested on suspicion of DUI charge. This guy clearly has talent & should just clean up his act.

Any GM who drafts Manziel and Bridgewater over McCarron is out of their damn mind.

Thank god whatever existing football team out there that you're not their GM then.

yup. 4 turnovers on offense is no good. It's amazing the game wasn't a complete blowout.

Rivera is a coordinator, not a coach. God bless him, but this is exactly like the Norv Turner situation.

Sadly, he's not.

Yep. I lobbied for Ron to return but now I realized that the strong finish blinded me. Rivera's strengths are better equipped to handle a coordinator position.

I'm praying for that The Panthers sign a blank check to David Shaw (Stanford). We need an offensive-minded guru, not another damn defensive mind that won't know how to employ Cam.

I'll take a proven NFL style quarterback who has been competing in the only division that can be called anything close to an NFL farm league over Geno Smith 2.0 who has been running up stats in the Big East any day.

Being the best quarterback in the Big East, is like being the tallest resident of midget land.

There's not a quarterback playing this year that I'd feel confident picking in the first round.

Awww yes, I love the NFL-ready garbage you SEC zombies spew. Let's see, the last time I checked, Aaron Rodgers (PAC-12), Matt Ryan (ACC), Big Ben (Big East), Drew Brees (Big 10), etc all competed in 'inferior' conferences, and they turned out just fine.

Sorry Matt, but unlike you, when I look at a QB I don't focus on where he played. I examine their football IQ and mechanics. AJ is a system QB who will likely be a correspondent for ESPN College Game Day 3-4 years from now.

If you fail to see what The Raiders, Browns (already did in fact lol), Cardinals, Buccaneers, Jaguars, Chiefs, etc would do for a shot at Bridgewater or Boyd or Mariota then... :funny: This isn't 2013's batch of QBs. Three QBs will be taken in the first 15 picks not because these teams are desperate but because these three are possible franchise QBs.

I'm just now learning that Bruno Mars is doing the Superbowl halftime show.

My television isn't just getting turned off. It's getting unplugged and going outside.

Also, Kaep (Nevada), Russell Wilson (B10), Andrew Luck (Pac 12), Joe Flacco (Delaware I believe), etc, etc

Seriously.

The SEC is an overrated conference, especially in the QB department. Hell, most SEC nuthuggers will tell you the NFL drafts more talent in that conference than anywhere else, and while that is true what they neglect to tell you is that more than half of those SEC prospects bust/wash out or become back ups. Quality over Quantity.

I'd take Chancellor (ACC) over Barron (SEC), Kuechly (ACC) over Olgetree (SEC), Lotulelei (PAC-12) over Floyd (SEC), Wilson (Big 10) over Tebow (SEC), etc any day.

Matt Moore played at UCLA and Oregon State.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion (however wrong it may be) but watch your language. No need for comments like the "SEC nuthuggers," ones. PG-13 site.

Also, way to misinterpret (or perhaps more appropriately ignore) my argument. My argument has to do with the fact that McCarron has thrived in the SEC, which regardless of inconsistent quarterbacks, remains the toughest defensive division in college football. Furthermore, his style is far more fit for an NFL system than any of the gimmick QBs you are mentioning. :oldrazz:

Nut huggers isn't PG-13?

As for the actual debate, gotta side with Matt on this one. The SEC boasts some of the best defenses in the country, even when theyre bad, theyre better than the PAC 12, ACC, etc. McCarron isn't running a gimmicky option offense a la Tim Tebow. He's running a pro style offense, standing under center and chucking the rock. Personally, I don't know if he's first round material but I'll take substance over flash.
