Greg Schiano throws Josh Freeman under the bus again, making him inactive today.

Schiano has handled the situation terribly. Freeman needs to stay quiet and keep his head down. He doesn't want to get a diva reputation. He can get picked up by countless teams. He just needs to keep his head down and hope for the best.

If I'm Rex Ryan, I make a move for him. Jets are still in contention. A 9-7 season can save Rex Ryan's job. Freeman gives him a better shot at being 9-7 than Geno Smith. Further, I think Ryan's style is similar to Raheem Morris, who Freeman thrived under. If I am Ryan, I beg the front office to make a move on Freeman. Tie your fate to him, not Smith.

Geno was Idzik's pick, there's no way he gives up on him in favor of Freeman. And I'm no where near sold that Freeman is a franchise quarterback. His leadership qualities have been strongly questioned, too. And when you just gave up on an under-performing, 1st Rd pick QB who lacks leadership, why would you give something up to get another one?

And while I'm not sold that Geno will have a solid NFL career just yet, I don't think that Freeman is clearly better than him. And with Geno having the higher ceiling, IMO, there's absolutely no reason to bring Freeman in and create another media **** storm.

That's bull...you never let ANYONE frame "Who" or "What" you are, and just keep your head down and say nothing...that's bull.

How did that work out for McNabb?

I agree that in terms of a franchise pick, you stick with Smith (even though he is not NFL ready). I am saying it is optimal for Ryan to have Freeman as Freeman gives the better shot at immediate success, which is what Ryan needs to save his job.

If he acts like a diva and starts publicly making a fuss, he is going to turn off potential buyers.

Fair enough. I'm just not so sure Idzik would be willing to do anything to help Ryan keep his job, seeing as he's not his guy and the quotes that've been coming out since Idzik's hire have subtly made it sound like they aren't exactly on the same page. Especially when it involves bringing in someone to take over for one of "his guys", even if only for a season.

So there are going to be two NFL games in London this year?

The league's obsession with London is getting out of hand.

If Matt Cassel just happens to play well today, I will flip s***.

:o

What games are you guys watching right now?

I'm watching the Giants and Chiefs game.

I wish it was this obsessed with Los Angeles

The Pittsburgh/Minnesota game. F*** my life, btw.

I was just going to post about the Pitt game.

What the hell is going on with them?

And that right there is another Pittsburgh loss. 0-4. Goodbye playoffs.

:o

Blaine Gabbert: 7 of 14 for 44 yards and 2 interceptions.

Why in the hell does Jacksonville start this guy again?

Cause he gives them the best chance to win...................................ok, I was just playing.
