    Oops I meant 2013 movies.

and don't bother listing movies you're completely neutral about.

I'm hoping the mods will fix the title.

It's supposed to be for 2013.

Absolutely no interest in seeing because the trailers and/or concept of the movie suck:
    World War Z
    Olympus Has Fallen
    GI Joe 2
    Evil Dead
    Snitch
    After Earth
    Machete Kills
I would bet all of those get mediocre-terrible reviews.

Curious aka will likely see if they don't get slammed critically:
    OZ
    Pacific Rim
    Wolverine
    Lone Ranger
    Oblivion
    Riddick
Hangover 3...only if it gets great reviews
    Man of Steel
    Hunger Games 2

Really excited about will be there opening night no matter what:
    Star Trek 2
    Iron Man 3
    Thor 2
    Hobbit 2
    Sin City 2
    Kick Ass 2
    Anchorman 2

This year is the year of the sequel.

If a horror film like Evil Dead gets worse reviews than the Paranormal films, or makes less at the BO than them, I can only shake my head in shame.

Evil Dead remake. It definitely looks effective and it's piqued my curiosity but I'll be staying away. I'll check it out from afar.

    I've included my concerns.

Hoping will be as good as the hype:

Star Trek into Darkness - all action no heart or story, to many lens flares

Thor: The Dark Worlds - worried elves will look silly, worried it will be to bloody and violent because of director from Game of Thrones

Iron Man 3 - there will be to much drama and not enough fun

Oblivion - will be all style no good story, lame climax

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - CG will look to fake, over abuse/use of CG, dwarves will be to silly, it will be to much of a spectacle

Pacific Rim - I hope it has a story other than big robots fighting big monsters *yawn*

The Man of Steel - All glitz and no good story, to many slow motion montages, changed to much

Probably will be good, but I'll just wait for the rental:

Much Ado About Nothing - haven't seen anything about it.

The Great Gatsby - Baz Lurmans fast editting and silly humor

Monsters University - weak idea, forced prequel

Despicable Me 2 - lame sequel

A minor interest, maybe I'll rent it or just never see it:

After Earth - M. Knight sucking again

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty - won't be as good as the original, Stiller will suck.

Epic - Fern Gully, The Littles, Arthur and the Minimoys you get the picture

The Croods - bad designs and bad writing, lame Dreamworks humor

Lone Ranger - Johnny in dark face = racist

Oz The Great and Powerful - Franco is weak, cartoony vfx, lame writing

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - horrible idea, no point

The Wolverine - after the last Wolverine film, I'm not expecting anything good

    Still in the dark:

Gravity - only thing told is cast/genre/director

    Frozen -only seen concept art

Elysium - only seen a few pictures of Matt Damon with robot stuff on his head and over his arms holding a gun, it will probably will be extremely violent

That's a weak reason since it has new writers and a new director this time. It's also no direct sequel to Origins but more stand alone. Plus, it's based on a fantastic story.

I really don't know much about movies until there marketing picks up, aside from the occasional story on websites. I'm sure I'll see a few more when the time comes, but I'll probably wait for Bluray/DVD (Plus going to a theatre costs $18.50 down here) So of the movies I do know about:

    Highly anticipated:

Man of Steel - That's it. That's the big one. The only movies I ever get truly hyped for are Superman, Batman and Star Wars. Everything else I love is a tier below these three.

Star Trek Into Darkness. Love Star Trek, really, really liked the first Abrams movie. Trailers have left me a little cold on this, honestly. A lot of movies are starting to look the same to me (this and Oblivion, as well as After Earth). But I'm a Trek fan, so I'm there.

    Curious about:

Iron Man 3 - Thought the first one was good, second one was terrible... I'm 70% sure I'll see it, but who knows. Everyone at Marvel seems to understand that the second one was below par, so I think their putting their best effort into this.

The Wolverine - My biggest problem with this movie is that (other than Fox and Origins) I know all throughout watching it, unless it's as good as it should be, I'll be thinking "Imagine if Aronofksy was doing this". But, they seem to be taking it in an interesting direction, hopefully unlike anything seen in a CBM before. If the trailers look good and the reviews, too, I'll take a run at it.

    Avoiding:

The Hobbit 2 (and 3) - I've said it before and I'll say it again, Peter Jackson is incompetent. Everything post-Two Towers has been various levels of crap. The man can't work story, he just overdoes the visual, slows it down, tells the actors to overact and puts wailing woman music behind it. The first Hobbit was one of the most offensive things I've seen. I'd like to kick him.

The Lone Ranger - Geez. This looks as bad as Jack the Giant Slayer did.

Other: Everything else I don't really care about. I'll probably check out Thor: The Dark World, but I thought the first one was poop. But I want to stay current with the MCU, so I'll check it out on DVD. Oblivion and After Earth, meh. Pacific Rim... I really can't figure why people are so excited about that. It looks... stupid. Maybe Sin City 2. Maybe Anchor Man 2, but I loved the first one and don't see them replicating it... Ford's involvement has added something to the excitement level, though.

Whatever else comes out, I'll take as it comes.

    Highly Anticipated

    Before Midnight
    Inside Llewyn Davis
    Man of Steel
    Gravity
    The World's End

    Curious About

Oz (please be a family friendly Army of Darkness riff)
Iron Man 3 (Shane Black to the rescue?)
Star Trek Into Darkness (please don't be a Khan rehash)
The Wolverine (I'd like to be surprised)
Pacific Rim (please have characters worth investing in)
Elysium (I want to know more about the story)
Prisoners (Incendies was excellent, let's see a more commercial film)
Evil Dead (I'm ok with it. Besides, Bruce Campbell has pretty much let slip he's in it. Still, it needs to be good.)
The Great Gatsby (Could be great. Could be an ADD mess.)
Oblivion (Could be an interesting science fiction film.)
Monsters University (Doesn't need a sequel, but it's probably good.)
Thor: The Dark World (We have a hit. Let's switch directors, what can go wrong?)
The Wolf of Wall Street (Scorsese plus Dicaprio should be good.)
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (I liked the first one, despite some problems, we'll see.)
The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (I liked the first one, despite the bloat.)

    avoid (?):

    Lone Ranger:

I can't put my finger on it, but it seems like a lot of people have the same gut feeling/intuition that the movie will 'meh'. I have no proof and the movie looks well shot, but it has the 'Jack the Giant Slayer' vibe written all over it. Even if the trailers aren't doing their job, I feel like it's completely off and doesn't gell an organic, cohesive vision.
