Also, this serves as the capstone to the plethora of reasons why Goodell needs to get as far away as he can from the game.

He had his chance to do things right the first time, and he still gave a minor suspension.

Goodell has one big advantage that others don't. He works for the owners and is very good at his job in that regard.

Then, there's the consideration that he did more in addressing the matter than actual law enforcement, but that's more specific irony to society.

Sure, he makes the owners money, but whenever something like this comes up he seems to fail. This time it happened to go beyond the sports' world and into general society so that is why it is getting so much play.

Yeah, I completely agree. It was a ridiculous road, with an incredible amount of arm twisting, but they finally got there.

My entire point was that the Ravens and the NFL had to get rid of him. Why? Because of the reaction that was coming. As soon as I saw the video, I knew what was coming. All the talk of double jeopardy, cap hits, and what others did don't mean a thing. Just because you are a Ravens fan and you wanted an excuse to keep him doesn't change reality. I knew what was coming and you just wanted to give me crap and act like I didn't know what I was talking about.

Chances are, the Ravens might even get some sort of cap exemption, not that they deserve it. This is of course a completely reactionary decision.

I see the Lions a bit like the Cowboys usually are. They can start hot, bu they will mess it all up before season's end. But, they have Caldwell now, one of the worst coaches I have ever had to watch coach any of my sports teams. So by default, I am going with the Giants, even with Eli looking completely lost in the preseason.

The Chargers have become a trendy pick, but it is early season and they can start very slow. So I have the Cards in the second game.

Who just got kicked out of the league again? You are literally ignoring what has happened. I said the Ravens would cut Rice. I said the league would change the suspension. Both things happened, and I am wrong because you say so?

By the way, I like Goodell. I hope the league is telling the truth. If they aren't, he deserves to go as well, and he probably will if there is evidence that they saw the video.
