Seriously with the announcement of Batman-Superman movie in 2015 i was looking at the all the blockbusters that are going to be released

March 6th Fantastic FOur Reboot
May 1st The Avengers : Age of Ultron
June 19th Assasins Creed
June 26th Terminator
July 3rd Independance Day 2
July 10th Pirates of tthe Carribbean 5
November 6th Antman and Bond 24
November 20th Hunger Games

Add to that Star Wars VII ( summer 2015) , Batman-Superman ( somewhere 2015)

I was thinking of making a thread like this lol. Well anways, I can't wait for SW, Avengers 2, and Batman/Superman!

You're forgetting Finding Dory in November and Jurassic Park 4.

ANd Kung Fu Panda 3.
Forgot about those.
Sw will most likely secure a May release date .

With MoS performing well during June WB might opt to release Batman-Superman in June or in July.

SW,Avengers and Batman/Superman will not be realesed in the same summer.

its that simple

May 2007 : 3 high profile blockbusters were released in the same month . All three were coming of very succesful sequels.
Spiderman 3 , Shrek 3 , POTC3

And in 2012 Avengers and TDRK were released in the same summer

SW and Avengers are going to be released in May.
Batman/Superman will most likely be released June/July.

Though there is a possibilty of the movie being released in December. Very small possibility

WB should release in December actually considering the Hobbit will be done in 2014.

All these movies are going to be interesting to watch perform, legs will be cut all around.

Unless they up the spectacle just as with POTC 2 and 3 , i doubt POTC5 is going to perform well. Then again with Lone Ranger bombing i wouldn't be surprised if Gore went back to the franchise.

WHile it's true that Hobbit will be done in 2014 , either way WB will need a big movie in summer AND december.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are going to release a 3rd SHerlock Holmes movie. IF that it the case you have pretty much have your WB summer movie ( Batman/Superman) and WB winter movie ( Sherlock HOlmes)

Unless Pirates 5 introduces something new, its done domestically. Relatively speaking, people are gonna move on.

Domestically yes. But the last one still made a billion although i wouldn't be surprised if non-american audiences will also get tired of Depp if the movie doesn't bring something new.

batman/superman will not be realesed in december. they had a fantastic chance with GL and MOS to realese it in december and make more money. they decided to go with summer in june and .......you know what happened.

i have a hard time seeing why would Disney realese two big movies in the same summer. SW and Avengers.

Hobbit was always going to be released in december.
Why move a franchise from a releasedate which had always been profitable.

And GL was going to be dead regardless of it's release date. Also Sherlock Holmes performing verl well in Dec 2009 hence why WB fasttracked the sequel and released in Dec 2011.
Again a case of release dates working out well for the studio.
Such as JUly ( TDK , TDRK , Harry Potter, Inception)

As for Disney release two big movies in the same year.
They already are doing with Avengers , POTC 5 and Finding Dory.

MOS in december would be a moster hit. it would stand out with other december movies. Hobbit in june 2013 would make an insane amount of money.

MOS was a hit. haha i am happy that MOS didnt make 300 millions domestic. because of that i will get a batman/superman movie. i dont have info and i dont have hollywodo industry experience. but there is no way that WB wanted to make a batman/superman movie before MOS was realesed. they decided that superman needs batman to get Avengers and TDK money.

Summer in only the broadest sense. May is very far from July which would be well suited for SW7, POTC be damned.

Based on what ?
Hobbit in december :
4 movies.
Each making 300 million domestic and the last 2 making 1 billion WW ( though the last movie was aided by 3-d).
You'd be an idiot moving Hobbit to an untested release date when there is a guarantee that the movie is going to be huge in december.

MoS has been hurt by competition and December would've given it more room to breath. Regardless it still did well enough for WB to move forward unlike Superman Returns

i dont think the public said ''i will watch the hobbit in december''. they make their decisions based on what movie to watch and not when to watch that specific movie. the LOTR franchise is a money making machine. superman was not . IMO :)

MOS will not make 300 domestic with a june realese date. in your face WB.

it made enough for another movie but not enough for a standalone movie. i dont have movie industry experience. but i dont belive that they wanted to have a batman/superman movie before MOS was realesed. they would like avengers money and for they need Mr. Batman. i am so happy. :woot:

Batman/Superman
Bond 24
Star Wars Episode 7

Those are my big three so far for 2015.

2015 in blockbusters will be insane. Just the ones I'm personally excited for makes me dizzy:

Avengers 2, Bond 24, Star Wars 7, Superman-Batman, Hunger Games 4, Terminator, Jurrasic Park 4, Independence Day 2, Warcraft, Fantastic Four, Ant-Man and Adventures of Tintin 2...

And if all these movies aren't enough 2015 might also see the return of James "king of box-office" Cameron :)

Tin Tin is a question though.
The sheer volume of VFX work meant that they really would need to start work on the mo-cap shots now.
Spielberg shot the movie in 2009 in a 2011 release date.

I doubt it.
Again as with Tin Tin , shooting the movie would have to start at least a year and a half before the release date because it really took a year and a half to render all those VFX shots.
Not to mention that Cameron is going to shoot both movies back-to-back.
Earliest were looking at it 2016
