According to their sources, MLB Network reports The New York Yankees have reached a deal to acquire one of the most powerful bats in baseball Giancarlo Stanton from the Miami Marlins. This is what this writer says is a gift from Marlins co-owner and former Yankee captain and all-star Derek Jeter.
This comes in a week where the Yankees welcomed new manage Aaron Boone back to the Bronx.
It's likely Stanton will become the DH. Many experts say this will be used to protect Aaron Judge who will likely remain in right field.
