I set a goal at the beginning of 2018 to see 50 movies on the big screen. I did not see 50.

I saw 91.

God awful year for me in all honesty, even worse than the previous 4-5 and that's saying something.

Milestones

I would say I realised my worth seemingly to some long term 'friends' - it's not a lot it would seem and so by yesterday I've processed that and how to move forward from that and create new friends that value me and I've started already to do that. If some are not interested in me then that's their decision, I'm not going to let it destroy my own worth for the sake of their selfishness.

Grab a piece of the 'relationship' tree that so many have - realised that I'm depriving myself of this and again, I'm worth being with someone - look into the development of that over 2019.

Give more love to myself and recognise my own importance in my own life and stop putting everyone else first whilst still dealing with my own s**t. There is a balance to be had. In other words put myself on my own 'to list', I've not even been on it thus far in my life, never mind at the back of the queue.

Got back writing this year after a gap period of self detachment from my own existence. This to me was incredibly important, continue with that, this year and continue with my writing course towards more freelance work.

Got a pet again and created that bond again.

Made some amazing new friends on here.

Learn from my own mistakes and cancel some debts!

Buying some furniture for my flat, cannot keep piling all my books strategically over the nightstand, the table or wherever I find an empty space.

Start saving money for my next trip abroad!

Quit smoking definitely. I quit, "for good" about a month ago but every now and then I would smoke one cigarette.

Taking proper care of my self and get serious about it.

Helping a friend to rock this year!!!

Find some cool courses ;nd

Improve my English!:chd:

I lost some weight over the summer, got a credit card and I voted for the first time in my life in the midterms this November.

Nothing that eventful, but 2018 was a far better year for me than the past two years.

  • Lost some weight over the summer - put it back on over the winter
  • Cycled not one, but two 100mile cycle rides (in the space of three weeks).
    • I've wanted to do this for a few years, though every time I've planned for it, I haven't had the energy. This year, I didn't plan for it, and somehow ended up doing the distances.
  • I don't know whether I'd consider it a milestone, but I went on what I think was my best date(s) to date.
    • It didn't work out, but the experience of it and the realisation that I was worth a second date in her eyes is … warming.
  • Undertook some new activities; first time on a Jet-ski, first time on a Quad Bike, first time paddle boarding, and first time paragliding.
  • Went abroad for a holiday
    • Again, not quite a milestone, but I haven't had a proper vacation in some ten years due to funds or poorly organised friends. Went with Family.
  • Kitching Skills; I've managed to nail a chilli con carne recipe, made some (quite simply awesome) Flapjack, Brownies and Lemon Drizzle Cake.
