Suspected arson at Japan anime studio kills 26


That is just crazy. Somebody had a beef or something.

Who on earth attacks an anime studio?

It is astonishing at how deadly attack this was. It is really sad. Especially when you hear that they had some of the better working conditions in the industry. Such a tragedy.

Likely won't get much out of motivations, as the arsonist is in critical condition in the hospital.

The poor people. All these deaths, too much damage, a lot of work lost and heavily delayed, and some fans of their work won't know about this and will be enraged over the delay of some of the anime they anticipate.

They said he didn't even work for them. But he kept saying "die" according to footage of him setting the blazes.

Some reports had him saying that he was "ripped off" or that "they copied him". Again, have to wait a bit to get clearer information.

And the death toll is currently at 33. Out of 74 who where in the building.

The way he doused the place in gasoline... it was all too easy for him to murder so many people.
