3 and 4? What are you talking about?

Actually from some comments, Singer is erasing part 2 as well. But yes, 3 and 4 are erased in this new Super-Man world.

I think what it is is you can fit any and all of the Superman movies in with SR, it's just STM that's referenced in the film and the other media (novelization, prequel comics, etc.) surrounding the movie.

That's just as guess, though. As Tzigone said, everytime it's brought up, Singer says something different.

Some of us have been waiting for someone to erase III and IV from the Superman film franchise.

If this works out, and knowing how much Singer also worships the original Jaws, maybe they'll turn him loose on Jaws 3-D and Jaws: The Revenge when Universal inevitably greenlights their plastic shark back to life as a cash-grab of last resort.
