3 eyes Tien Shin Han Respect Thread

Is not confirm, but a Tien Shin ham apearence will make the movie cooler, who can play the part?

IMO Tien is one of my favorite characters, I even belief that if he were Saiyan, he would be better than Goku, due his personality and perfectionist dedication in his martial art training

He's a great character... His story from the original dragonball show was one of the best if not the best one in the series. It's like best of the best. Anyway, someone who can portray true badassery should become the triple eyed warrior, unless they've decided against someone randomly having 3 eyes, which would be lame.

Probably the most underrated character in the entire series. Had the coolest and most unusual techniques of anyone, and established himself as an exceptional character in half the time, if not less, than the main cast.

Tenshinhan is badass incarnate. He's always been in the top of my list. I'd watch a spin-off series with Tenshinhan, Yamcha, and the rest of the core Zetto Senshi in a heartbeat.

Technically Tien was gifted as a Martial arts, the only thing that stop him from training is nothing, he is actually like vegeta but earthling, his techniques are good

Ten Shin Han kicked Goku's ass in the tournament and won the title on his face... Had he been and extraterrestrial with extra genetic capabilities like Goku or Piccolo, there is no way of tellin how far he could get...

Tenshinhan would absolutely be on par with Goku and Vegeta if he had the benefits of Saiyan biology. The guy trains himself into the ground and never gives up. I always saw him as having the closest personality to Ryu, from Street Fighter, out of anyone in Dragon Ball.

If they do have Tien in this movie then I think the best way to approach the third eye thing is by having a third eye drawn on his head in black or tattooed (sp?).

It could just be like a martial arts thing, with the whole third eye given you hidden abilities.

...not really. but i hope they do show up in the movie. i just wonder how they'll put in the third eye. i'll bet it'll look real sick and distrubing. unless they go with the idea that it's a tattoo, and not an actual eye...which would be ok, but not as cool.

Tenshinhan is based off of a three-eyed war god named Er-lang Shen from Journey to the West, just like Goku is based off of the monkey king, Sun Wukong. His third eye is supposed to symbolize a state of enlightenment and inner calm.

Chaozu's a jiang shi, which means, like, an undead Chinese ghost apparition.

Ehhh, that didn't come from Toriyama, though. The "race of the three-eyed" was TOEI's idea.

Thanks for clarifying, Dedpool. I'm only a bit familiar with Journey to the West (I read a novelization of it a long time ago) but I'm not too familiar with the characters' Chinese names. Was Erlang Shen the river demon?

Er-lang Shen was one of the four heavenly kings whose army was defeated by Sun Wukong. The river demon you're thinking of is Sha Wujing.

That was before Goku even knew he was an alien. In fact, Toriyama originally intended for Goku to have been a regular human with no tail until his publisher told him Goku didn't look interesting enough. I'm sure that even if Tien were a Saiyan, Goku would've still been ahead of him.
