"300" Movie Figures Are Out!!!

Here in the Great White North that is.....yesiree bob, up in Canada we got 'em at a local Comic Shop. Toronto has them as well!

Not sure about the states...they are prolly there too but in any event, I'm gettin' ALL of them....aaaand an army of Immortals!

I just hope that they make more figures from the movie....well...AND that the movie is really good, that's important

My buddy got me a King Leonidas figure...

He is the MOST beautiful figure I have ever gotten..PERIOD!

I have a set on order, but i still want an extra King Leonidas to open. I think the only stores that'll carry them in the states would be like Spencers, hot Topic, etc. Not a problem though. Really excited for this movie/figures.

I wonder if NECA will do a second/third wave if they're successful?

Grabbed a Leonidas. Passed on the others, but may change my mind once I see the film and/or they go on sale.

Excellent figure. A little disappointed in the very plain base (hoping for just a simply dirt/rock/something base), but everything else is superb.

NECA normally determine a second series based on sales of the first series. IF there is a second series, they would probably time the release with the release of 300 on DVD.

As yet, haven't heard anything with respect to possible characters for a second series.

Forgot to mention a 12" Leonidas is planned to be released. It will probably be identical to the 7" figure, just 12" in size.

Damn I didn't even think about the base, normally NECA figures do come with scene specific bases.

Now I called NECA and they said there are no plans for a Series 2 just yet...but that the guy said if it says Series 1 that would almost certainly mean a Series 2....the operative word being 'almost'...

..I guess I can see from a $ standpoint if the 1st Series of any toy line doesn't sell well, then why make more?

However it seems to me that figures seem to make their way out in stores EVEN if I still see figures from a Series 1 or what have you...I don't see how these figures couldn't sell well, they are incredible! The movie looks like the cats ass too!

I really really REALLY hope NECA goes ahead and makes a Series 2...I want a Xerces (sp?) figure as well as some other baddies and main/central characters.

It anything NECA's sculptors have certainly sculpted figures and they must have a reeeeaaallly good idea who will be in the second line up..it's just balls that they aren't saying anything.

SUGGESTION!!!!

I am anxiously awaiting news of any kind regarding the possibility of a 'Series 2' for "300" (SOOOOOO WANT MORE FIGURES FROM THIS MOVIE!!!)

...sigh...until then, if the day ever comes...I have noticed a cool figure for my Leonidis to fight and it is....Hasbro's Cyclops from "Chronicles of Narnia" movie figures!!!

Honestly....he goes really well up against the other "300" figures...just a suggestion
