I liked the first 300 movie, and I like Eva Green. So I'm on board.

Is this confirmed? Good to see she went back on not doing anymore nudity. IF anything, she is doing more then ever.

A person who went to a screening said there is a pretty graphic sex scene between Green and Stapleton in the film, and there's apparently a lot of nudity from her. (And the R-rating confirms such.)

And besides, Green's been doing nudity post-The Dreamers for a while. She showed some skin in that short-lived Starz series "Camelot" a few years back, for one.

Yeah, what mclay said.

They are mortal enemies in the film and want to fight each other to the death but in one sequence they have rowdy sex together!

Even the last film had a slow motion sex scene.

I think Eva Green does nudity if the role requires it, but she's not going to do another The Dreamers-type role. She was either nude or partially undressed for large sections of the film, and I can understand her wanting to shy away from that for a while.

It was a long time between Camelot/Perfect Sense and The Dreamers. The latter really made her uncomfortable about it, to the point that she said she wasn't going to do it again.

Actually if the film-makers have the balls to portray it, her role of Ava Lord in Sin City sequel is fully nude throughout the book. Full frontal naked. She is wearing clothes in only a couple of the scenes. Otherwise, every thing all the time is shown.

They are obviously not going to show that in the film but if they had balls, they would.

Adding two new stills that I have never seen before!

Are the events in this movie inspired by historical events as the events in the first movie were?

Aside: one thing I dug about the movie was seeing the Immortals in live action, because I had previously encountered them in Sid Meier's Civiliation III, IV. They're a game breaking unit in Civilization III, so seeing them get owned by 300 Greeks made the Greeks look badass.

Yeah. She did space them out. But seems to be cool with it again. Not to sound creepy but here is a list of her... shall we say actorly commitments.

The Dreamers (2003) - full frontal
Cracks (2009) - topless
Womb (2010) - topless
Camelot (2011) - topless
Perfect Sense (2011) - topless
300: Rise Of An Empire (2014) - topless
Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - (atleast) topless

There was a gap between The Dreamers and Cracks but she only made 4 movies in that time. So its understandable.

And up till Sin City, she has just 13 credits!!! And she's done nudity in 7. So that's a very healthy ratio.

I am going off what she said in interviews. I am simply restating her words on the subject. Watching herself in The Dreamers made her very unconformable and she decided she wasn't going to do nudity again. And then she clearly changed her mind.

Does look entertaining. Doesn't look as beautiful as the original though. Too much of that video blur and movement from the digital cameras.

Oh yeah. It is clearly digital. I loved the thick grain and the golden burnished finish of 300. Made it look like antiquity for real, like someone went back in time and filmed them. Snyder had infact added even more grain in post.

This looks very clean. They have kept some of the aesthetic intact. I wish they had kept this aspect of the look too.

I agree. All these 300-style movies/show that came after 300, never looked as good. 300 was gorgeous!

There's some clips of Junkie XL's score in the background of the official site. I'm pretty sure it's his since a good portion of the percussion and rhythms are lifted from the Man of Steel score (which he provided additional music for).

It's better than Tyler Bates' ripoff of Elliot Goldenthal's Titus score for 300, but pretty unremarkable. The original composer, Frederico Jusid, would've done a much better job.

Agree 100%. I had seen 300 twice or thrice in the theatres when it was released. It was truly a jaw-dropping spectacle, just dazzlingly staged and photographed. Its probably the best looking CBM I think.
