Man this one is a dosey of a first round. A big part of me wants to say Gargoyles but Im going to go with Avengers EMH. The animation could be stronger but the stories and character development are first rate. (Not that Gargoyles isnt but i had to pick one haha)

Man... this is a tough one for me. Loved Gargoyles back in the day and AEMH is just such a great cartoon as well.

It had a stronger start than EMH. Not to mention Avengers lost quality halfway throughout the second season. And no, The Goliath Chronicles doesn't count as part of Gargoyles. That may be considered a different show altogether.
