Unconfirmed? We have a trickster god going around snapping his fingers and then all of a sudden his Dad shows up voiced by John de Lancie. Come on, that is completely confirmed minus the utterance of the word "Q".

I'm glad the Gorn plotline seems to be done because I really didn't like their reinvention. It's so inconsistent with their appearance in Arena and feels more like a horror movie monster rather than a sentient species.

Some may want the deniability of some of the logical direction of the cameo.

We already had some temporal shenanigans with Q in Picard

Just a fun hijinks episode. Especially nice after the premiere. And it was a nice way to set up the crew for the season, with La'an feeling more relaxed and Ortegas dealing with PTSD.

Fun way to bring in the fiance, and I loved Scotty's reaction.

I will be impressed if they do actually keep the Edosian bartender as a recurring character. That is some fun make up, prosthetics, and I assume puppetry.

EDIT: I also appreciate that they seem to have found a reason to use Christina Chong's dance training.
