did you read what you quoted from me? because this has nothing to do with what i was talking about.

someone said they want to see the spider-man story from beginning to end. but there is no definitive end to it as of now. yes, we have tons of villians and story arcs that could be put on screen, but do we have an ending? no. we have decades of comics with no end. so i don't see how the spider-man movies can be compared to the star wars films in that way.

The Spider-Man 3 Villian Gallery can be found on http://spiderman.sonypictures.com/index.php and is lists the only villians which will be considered for the third movie. I will make a list and eliminate the impossible ones.

Carnage - Highly improbable. Will need to be developed by the Venom story, which just begins in this movie.

Chameleon - Possible. Could even be in the trailer, disguised as someone else. Possibly why a goblin bomb is seen being thrown at Harry himself.

Doctor Octopus - Already used for the second movie.

Electro - Possible.

Green Goblin - Already used for the first movie, and confirmed to be in this one again.

Hobgoblin - Possible. Could be hired by Harry to kill Peter.

Hydro-Man - Possible. May be connected to water scene at end of trailer.

Kraven The Hunter - Possible.

Jackal - Possible.

Lizard - Possible. Curt Conners was already introduced in the other movies.

Mysterio - Possible. May be developed by MJ's acting carreer and played by Bruce Campbell.

Rhino - Possible. May fit in with the symbiote story.

Sandman - Confirmed.

Scorpion - Possible.

Venom - Confirmed.

Vulture - Possible.

While we do have a hundred of these posts right now, I think the poll is a decent idea. I voted Kraven as described in my post on another villian speculation thread. He fits in with the symbiote story, eventualy wears the black costume, and could set up a SM4 with Lizard. Plus hes an underdog to Shocker and Mysterio and I always vote for the underdogs :P

i say have spidey fighting rhino in the opener. it would be cool, but we know that spidey takes him down anyways.

No, the list doesn't include Shocker. It has a couple on there that should've been left off. But its still a poll. And the thread title clearly says

The list doesn't say Shocker, because Shocker is not on Sony's list for aleggible villians for the third movie. That list is on the official Spider-Man 3 website. Although you may want Shocker to be in this film, Sam Raimi doesn't, and it will not happen according to this site. Notice how all the other villians which were used in the movies are listed on the list, even not so popular ones like Sandman. Which is another reason why I think Hydro-Man may be in this movie; because he is not a popular villain, yet is on the list.

We have more clues pointing to Shocker than any of those unconfirmed (some almost impossible) villains...

Thank you. That is exactly what I meant to say. Same thing with Hydro-Man. There are a lot of things which point to him being in this movie. Him being an unpopular villian is actually one of those things since not only does Raimi like unpopular villians, such as Sandman (not to mention Spot...well, OK, I did just mention him), but if an unpopular villain is on the list, then they will probably be used, considering that they only put popular villains on the list.

Shockers unpopular and extremly underated, he has as much of a chance as Hydroman. Also, as I said before the website says "here are some of the candidates".
