That was one of my fav Spidey stories when I was wee. I still have story tape performance of the entire issue, that you got free by saving up superhero crisp packets. I guess those story tapes must be extremely rare, because I cannot find any source for them on the net at all when I have looked.

I never liked that costume for Sandman. Didn't really care for how this armor costume enabled Sandman to mix other chemical agents with his sand.
