Do you know what I'm most impressed with thus far? Between the two trailers and the prologue, Nolan has effectively created a real, palpable, lingering sense of anxiety. This will torment us until next July...all the while the knots in our stomachs will keep us every so mindful that as much as we think we know...we know nothing.

I'm going to watch this trailer again and again for the rest of the evening.

The prologue was f**king awesome. A whole lot of epic win.

Can't wait for the trailer!

And whomever suggested Alfred sounds like he is tearing up at the end of his statement to Bruce in the trailer, I definitely hear that as well. Gripping, emotional.
There are layers upon layers of intensity here.

Judging by the trailer, the chant definitely plays a role/has significance in the film. i just love the scene where an imprisoned Bruce asks the old man he's with just what the prisoners chant means. The man replies "RISE". God, I'm going to be in tears when Batman returns to fight Bane.

Ever since I first heard the chant... I just knew that it was gonna be something big to the movie. It really is a theme that just screams how much bigger the scope is than it's two predecessors.

Looks like the the people who said the chant is "The Fire Rises" were correct.

The prologue has the informant saying "We start in the fire" and Bane replies "The fire rises"

Seems to be a theme of the film.

Just saw the trailer and it didn't really feel like a Batman movie. A lot of morning shots. I thought the football scene was pretty random as well lol.. I enjoyed it though. Can't wait to see it in HD.

Treat others like you are treated, I say. Not my fault people call me a troll or tell me to shut up or go away for my opinions.

Your opinions are perfectly fine, but being a grouch to people who are clearly buzzing over an incredible trailer is trollish. If you don't want to watch it, or you don't like the trailer that's perfectly fine, but don't be a wet towel to those who do. Not everyone foolishly thinks he has to be on a "team" here, today just happens to be a bat-day for EVERYONE.

Sounds like Catwoman might be working with Bane. Either that or she really doesnt like Wayne, the 1%. So shes an analog for all the Wall Street Protestors.

A good flick?

Well with Dark Knight being such a well made film, I didn't think he would be able to top himself with not being able to bring back the Joker in some capacity. This one just seems to take it to another level entirely. I am more than pumped for this now after seeing the prologue last night and now this.

What is a Batman film supposed to look like? Can anyone lend me the guidebook?

I'm a HD hoer, so I'll wait to watch it in glorious HD. :(

TDKR will be the movie event of the decade. We have an incredible spectacle in store for us on July 20th.

I don't think the chant means...the fire rises. I think it's just "He rises."

I still don't understand Bane's obsession with fire. Maybe he considers himself and his men to be "the fire that burnt rome to the ground" Alluded to by Ra's al ghul, when civilizations become too corrupt they destroy the city with fire..fear..money etc.

Bane saying "the fire rises" is probably the start of his mission to finish Ra's plan, to burn gotham (figuratively) to the ground in order to save it from the chaos that seems to be going down....burn it to "ash" or so he says.

That's just my take.

The link on TDKR.com is now hooked up via the javascript, it goes to the landing page. But the actual video isn't linked yet. Just some Sandra Bullock BS.

I think you're right on the money.

There's 9 years left in the decade. I'm sure there'll be a better film during that time frame.

I wish we had a real life Bane to do the same thing to our corrupt Government and 1%...

The football scene is tremendous, it's done in such a smooth quick controlled way, just one shot, nothing too special made out of it, but it's spectacular. Easily the WOW moment of the trailer aimed for casuals. You can bet theyll be plastering that scene all over the superbowl tv spot.

Hathaway IS in Selina Kyle mode, she looks hot, she feels so mischievous and antagonistic and you certainly start to get the picture when insiders say she has the best written character in the film. She clearly isn't Catwoman the female sidekick/heroine/love interest.

You're right about that. They probably will "kill" the super bowl crowd with that. However it just sounds like humans running through explosions and not that people don't actually bash that sort of thing around these parts but at this point unless it's filmed in some extraordinary way, I just can't see it winning me over anyways.

Look forward to seeing it for myself though on the big screen.

These comic book films just keep holding their cards close to their chest and top each other with marketing material ever month or so. I assume next up is the second wave of Spidey/Avengers. What's funny is that in between other films release stuff and it's quietly forgotten.(MIB3/JOE...)

The whole masked ball part was so reminiscent of Batman Returns!
