Did we even have proof of this raid thing? The only thing I remembered were some apparent sightings of SWAT (or GCPD?) stuff and something about the windows but did we see any photos? The memories are so far away. :funny:

i think someone who was there was talking about rigs on the windows so they could be broken and cords coming down from the roof for SWAT to repel down on

Ah... I just remembered something about the windows but I can't remember what was said. But no one mentioned seeing any extras dressed in SWAT or any copy uniforms, right?

I don't even remember this SWAT rumor.

Honestly, I thought it was just speculations that kinda stuck. Someone mentioned about the windows details (what Rag posted) and then we all speculated about a possible Wayne Manor raid. Some speculated that it was because Batman's identity was discovered and some speculated that it was because of Selina/Catwoman.

I think it was just slightly more than speculation. I think we were trying to figure out where they were coming in from. I think there may have been some reports of seeing Swat drive up to Wayne Manor

Well if there's a party at Wayne Manor, some ****ed up **** is definitely going to go down.

Tradition is tradition.

Uh oh, Goku is pulling out the swear words.

Ok, back to the prologue.

Latino Review, April Fools Day, April 1st, 2011:

Another one of Kellvin's reliable inside sources has revealed some juicy details surrounding The Dark Knight Rises plotline and its opening action sequence.

When the third and (supposedly) final film in Christopher Nolan's Batman series goes before the cameras in a few months, the first order of business will be shooting an opening sequence similar to the prologue we saw in The Dark Knight. That film opened with a bank robbery sequence shot in IMAX and designed to set up the character of The Joker. This time, instead of a robbery, its a prison break and the fugitive in custody is none other than The Batman. He is being extradited from England back to the States to be tried in Gotham, but getting caught was exactly what The Batman wanted. The authorities supervising his transfer work for the mob and their boss is none other than Alberto Falcone, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt!

.......

Apparently, Nolan has something crazy planned for the opening sequence which will involve a mid-air escape, plane to plane transfer and firefight shot entirely in IMAX. The Batman gets his wish and Falcone and his goons confront him aboard the flight, but when both their plans go awry, the sequence ends with Falcone escaping and Batman trapped aboard a burning cargo plane with the mobster's surviving goons trying to take him down with them.

Batman-News.com, June 27th, 2011 (Note NOTW was shut down due to the illegal hacking scandal):

A source told The News of the World: “The movie crew desperately want to film this. It’s a key section of the film. Batman is on board a plane that is hurtling to the ground.

“The script says he takes control of it and lands it on the road while it’s on fire. People are going to love it. It’s a tremendous challenge.”

The plane involved would apparently be a Lockheed C-130 Hercules, which was introduced to military service during the 50s.

November 27th, 2011:

Rocketman on the prologue said:
You're getting a goddamn plane crash.

So it was Bane landing the plane all along? Not Batman...

Is that really how Rocketman spoke about the prologue? :lmao:

He sounds like a bitter old war vet.

Yeah, he made the mistake of revealing the info to only two members of the hype, of course everyone else raged about it till he couldn't take anymore and just let it out. It was a pretty awkward day on the hype.

Fixed

Raging, pestering people?

On the batboards, where people spammed a dude's twitter account because he wouldn't post a relatively boring picture from the Licensing expo?

What a suprise.

That’s an Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante, and it’s awfully similar to the fuselages covered by the tarpaulins. So it looks like a scene in the film will have people parachuting out of that plane and then the plane crashing, done with special effects. Maybe we could even guess that the parachutists are assassins from the League of Shadows. Big news? No. But if you loved The Dark Knight as much as I did then it’s fun to try working out what might be happening in the sequel.

I just hope for Bruce's sake his new Manor isn't messed up too much. :woot: On the Wayne Manor location in TDKR - I like how they have the exact same design, but with an added segment on top. It says to me indeed, Bruce built it back to how it was, but actually made it better than before. When Bruce falls to the lowest on low in TDKR we'll no doubt see the same for him.

Has this thread exploded yet? Did I miss anything important?

Nope not much. There's just a very convincing rumor that the prologue will be about Bane hijacking a plane.

I still think Batman lands the plane, in spite of the fact that Bane hijacks it.

Could be Batman is aware of Bane at the beginning of the movie.

That would mean that Batman is doing a lot of stuff outside of Gotham, which makes sense considering his current status in the city.
