Looks like WB is repeating the prologue strategy from The Dark Knight.
Discuss!

/film are reporting (and say they are confirming from Independent sources and exhibitors) that a six minute prologue to The Dark Knight Rises will be attached to all IMAX prints of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol that opens exclusively on IMAX Dec. 16th in the U.S.

It then opens wider to include non-IMAX theatres five days later on Dec. 21st and then we don’t get the film until Dec. 26th in the UK. But whenever you do get to see MI:4 it will include the first six minutes of the most anticipated film in living memory.

Already posted, but maybe this does deserve its own thread?
"Batman 3 to the i(MAX)" is too broad, we'll see what the mods decide though...

As Chris said, I think this deserves its own thread. Who's going on December 16th? I know I am! :yay:

Is that serious?! If so that's pretty cool because they didn't do that for TDK's prologue.

I don't think that's the case. The writer probably just jumped to conclusions.

No, that's not true. That 2nd paragraph in the 1st post should be deleted to avoid confusion.

i hope they not show 6 mins they show hole movie

Hole movie?

I do not wish to see that

Forget Batman being broken in the first 6 minutes of filming

Never the less, fake or real, that description sounds absolutely amazing. Like truly amazing!

That actually sounds horrible. They would show that much of the movie in six minutes? Bane and the entire chase sequence? SIX MINUTES? sounds like bad pacing

Bane popping out of nowhere and breaking Batman's back in the first 5 minutes of the film sounds like awful, awful pacing to me. You know this is fake because Nolan knows better.

Sure pal, whatever you say. It sounds great.

I ain't saying that it's not fake, more than likely is. But if not, maybe this dude is expanding on it pretty thick. But what he's saying could still happen within 6 minutes.

Anyone can write a fake synopsis. Being as detailed as possible with fake details makes it sound more authentic. It's totally 100% impossible that this is real since most of it was JUST FILMED

Nolan is "crazy" enough to do it, and as of now, we all don't know jack **** of what he's got up his sleeve. So I'd be careful saying it's 210% fake. We really don't know.

That was awkward how you bolded his quote. He was saying it sounded like awful pacing. Frankly, I agree. I think its probably too much to try to fit into 6 short minutes. You are right that we don't know, but I think Nolan would give such a momentous scene more room to breathe.

Well, looks like I'm seeing Mission Impossible 4 in IMAX.

What did they show with I Am Legend i can't seem to remember. Was it the Bank Heist from the Beginning?
