The 20th Anniversary screenings are the this week, so I figured now's the time for a rewatch. Maybe the best horror-western/serial killer hangout movie ever? You can feel the dusty, blood-soaked images. But it's also pretty funny at times too. And those Terry Reid songs? Perfection. One of my all-time favorite movies.

12. Borderline (2025)

Yeah, I watched primarily for Alba Baptista. Who was the best thing in the movie for me. Loved her little crazy psycho french girl. Saved the movie for me, because it felt like everyone else was wasted in this. Jack Jr isn't in this enough, which feels like a very bizarre decision. Weaving doesn't get given enough to really get a good picture of Sofia. Some highlights, but mostly falls into a "meh" for me.

V/H/S Beyond

In my experience, found footage works best with alien/creepy looking creatures or things and situations that are "off". Anything else involving cults, zombies, vampires or supernatural events that involve humans don't do anything for me. It always looks kinda silly.
On that regard, I'd say V/H/S Beyond mostly worked a lot better for me.
