Has anyone seen the mini film released for the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: Generations?!

A new Roddenberry Archive teaser dropped online and it teases something for the 18th November 2024.

It just happens to be the day of Star Trek: Generations 30th Anniversary!!!

The teaser shows glimpse of Spock visiting Kirk’s grave on Veridian III, the destruction of Enterprise refit and Enterprise D.

Also Yeoman Colt appearing in different locations, meeting Spock, mind melds, Kelvin style uniforms and the main takeaway I got excited for:

What looks like “Project Phoenix!!!”

Colt was a member of Pike’s Enterprise when visiting Talos IV (The Cage), she doesn’t seem to have aged a day...and looks like she was a part of Project Phoenix and by default a member of Section 31?!!!

Mention in an interview of TrekMovie, Omari Hardwick the actor that plays Alok the leader of the Section 31 team in Michelle Yeoh’s Section 31 TV film says:

“No, not an El-Aurian. I’ve been augmented, and I have been cryoed. I am cryo chambered, and I am super old, but my young gun can live for those years of the pain and or rectify the years of pain. And I think he a lot does a lot of that, he is trying to get past his stuff with the use of the team.”

So what if most of Section 31 operatives are the same, or the high up ones like Alok are? What if Colt the same?

Project Phoenix was first shown in Star Trek: Legacy as an Easter Egg but what if it will be shown in the Section 31 film? As a way of resurrecting high ranking and valuable assets?!

Could the return of Kirk to the Prime time of post Generations era be finally coming?!!

Something I noticed on a second watch was Colt in her “Kelvin” uniform holding Prime Spock’s photo that Kelvin Spock was given in Star Trek: Beyond after Prime Spock’s death!!!

Is Colt moving between Universes and not just time?!

Kovich did mention Yor:

“Yor here traveled forward from 2379 and across from an alternate universe created by the temporal incursion of a Romulan mining ship. Before Georgiou, Yor was the only individual known to have traveled across both time and dimensions.”

Could both Universes Prime and Kelvin Section 31 operatives be able or willing to travel between Universes? Unless we got two Colts? Prime and Kelvin?!

The mini film by OTOY for The Roddenberry Archive called “Unification” for the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: Generation has been released!!!

There a lot going on in it with cameos from Saavik, J.M. Colt, Gary Mitchell and Yor (from Star Trek: Discovery).

But the real takeaway from this mini film is “Generation” Kirk transcending from the “Prime” Universe to the “Kelvin” Universe to see Spock one last time before he dies in Star Trek: Beyond.

The scene is so well done and says so much with no dialogue. Their friendship and love is on full show.

The idea Spock never got to say goodbye to Kirk, must of been such a heavy toll for Spock to hold on to being half Human.

Then being lost in an alternate universe away from his love ones and everything he knew. So having Kirk there in his last moments, makes me happy he didn’t die alone.

The question now is Kirk alive in the Kelvin Universe? Or was he back just for Spock’s passing? Was he dead? Was this the afterlife? Or was that garden in the Nexus?! All I know is there is more to Yor and his story than how he dies.

What you think Guys? Where does Generations rate in your Trek film ranking?

Since the release of the mini film by OTOY for The Roddenberry Archive this week called “Unification” for the 30th anniversary of Star Trek: Generation it got me thinking.

How does all this play out, and how does it fits into canon. Over the last two years OTOY and The Roddenberry Archive have released mini teasers all starting with 765874 (which happens to be Yeoman Colt’s serial number).

All of these teasers are connected but told out of order, in a 2001: A Space Odyssey style way, using V’ger/Spock mind meld in Star Trek: The Motion Picture as the catalyst!!!

How Gary Mitchell and Yeoman Colt are connected, with Colt being the link that holds this all together isn’t made clear...yet.

The more I think about these mini teasers and film the more I feel Spock was shown the future destruction of the refit USS Enterprise.

I believe via the mind meld Spock and V’GER shared in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, he was shown the finale fate of the Enterprise.

The Enterprise might have been Kirk’s “girl” and Scotty’s muse but Spock was the longest serving crew member of that Enterprise. Only fitting V’GER would show Spock.

With Spock having that knowledge and with the Enterprise in danger in the battle with Khan in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Spock knew what he had to do, to save the Enterprise with his ultimate sacrifice (not knowing the destruction he saw was of the Enterprise self destructing over the Genesis Planet and not of the Battle of the Mutara Nebula).

For someone that says he without emotion, he sure does things in an emotional way!!!

What you think Guys?
