Episode #8-18: "Eternal"
2009

UPDATED 1/19/09: Title Revealed. Please do not repost this on other websites without a link to KryptonSite.com. If you cannot place a proper link, don't repost this at all.
- This episode focuses on the origins of Davis Bloome.
- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.

Hmmm.... what's with Lois not being in that many episodes in the second half of the season? Is Erica Durance filming a movie right now?

What happened to Lois being in more than 13 episodes? Jeez.

I don't think Clois fans may get what they want to the ending of this story... heh we will see.

And Origins of Davis Bloome? Ummm didn't we already get that in Bloodline?

not just Clois fans, but Lois and ED fans as well. Bummer, and here I thought they would give her more episodes.

I thought as well that they covered Davis's origins and background in episodes like...Prey, Bloodline and Legion. Why give another episode for this topic?

Cause they got their season 9 so they gotta stall a little bit.

well yes there is reports she is doing a movie but that was between her break from episodes 11-14. As for the whole rumors of her getting more episodes then normal it must have fell threw which sucks i was hoping for her to atless get 17-18 episodes. But now if she is in episodes 20-22 fully she can only get 14.

I hope that's the case because if they don't have season 9, then well...:csad:

Then people like me will be seriously pissed to wonder where in hell is my Lois and Clark interaction!

well we dont know 100% sure on 9th season just yet.

Besides dropping the ball again with Lois, I hope Davis transformation is reaching its completion so by the finale we have the DD vs Clark fight.

Seriously what the deal with Lois being absent the second half of the season ?

well her missing episodes 11-14 was due to her filming a movie. As for why she is missing in episodes 16, and 18 who really knows. Maybe the whole deal with her getting more then 13 fell threw,(if she doesnt miss any more in 20-22 she will have 14 in total). Or since we know budget reasons have been a big factor this season with barely any location shootings, no copyrighted music, etc.... and only 3-5 cast members in each episodes. Money is a big issue for the show.

The missing episodes 11-14 is BS, if they told Erica at the beginning of the season hey you will be on 18 episodes, I don't think she would have to go out and find work elsewhere

Erica's done movies during Smallville filming nearly every season that she's been on the show. This is nothing new for her. Maybe she didnt want more than 13-14 episodes. Dont assume that she's doing movies just because she cant get the fulltime gig on Smallville.

^^ Erica has said in the past she would love to do more episodes, the problem is with WB/DC (as usual) with their ******ed restrictions on the way the show can use DC characters.

yea and then we dont really know what went done this season. Maybe it was budget issues which we know is a big problem this season with things getting slashed so much.

UPDATED 1/22/09: For this episode, young versions of both Lex and Davis Bloome will be cast.
- The four characters featured in this episode are Clark, Chloe, Davis, and Tess.
- Tess and Davis finally have some interaction in this episode.

thanks for that update tempest. I wonder how young lex is going to be, if its any of the ages we seen before hopefully they get either that teenage guy back, that guy from the traveler flashbacks, or maybe that original kid lex though he is probaly to old for the look they are going with.

You welcome!

"Eternal" sounds very interesting so far, it's another Davis/Doomsday arc episode, which all have been great so far ("Prey", "Bloodline", "Bride" and "Legion") I wonder how Lex will play into all of this. I wonder which 5 episode arc the writers have chosen: the heroic send-off or a heartbreaking decision. "Eternal" seems like it can go either way.

yea its hard to judge where the direction of the last 5 episodes will go untill we have official word from wb/cw/the producers on if a season 9 is a go or not.

UPDATED 1/22/09: For this episode, young versions of both Lex and Davis Bloome will be cast in flashbacks that date back to the 1989 meteor shower. Sadly, it doesn't seem like we'll be seeing Lionel, Martha, or Jonathan in these flashbacks.
