Yeah they better make it a real fight, and not just 2-3 punches and that's it. And they shouldn't be using any crystals or something. Man to man.

If the fight is done well, then this may be the best season finale yet.

I like that tv guide interview with the producers about the top moments in the upcoming 8 episodes. Can't wait for this season finale. I'm not expecting much though. I know how big fights in Smallville usually turn out...

I'm usually ok with the small fights because even small fights in Smallville are more than they give us in certain big screen versions of the character, and with a smaller budget.

I'm hoping though that they saved some of the special effects budget for this finale. We'll see though.

Well, this will be the first time we see a season finale by the new producers so they could surprise us and give us a huge epic fight. I could also be wrong. I'm just not going to expect too much. I did last year when I saw commercials of Lex vs. Clark in the FOS and it had me believing it would be huge instead of the 5 seconds that we got.

I dunno man. Garenteed, 1/2 fight is gonna implied (like the Bizarro fight). But will it be the battle that we should be getting from a DD Superman encounter? hardly.

Remember Kal, there are many things they can do in a cartoon with a fraction of the money it takes to do something with live action.

You can't show a cartoon and say, they should do this when the funds it takes to do something similar would be several several several times what it cost to do it in the cartoon.

I was just thinking, if the battle takes place in the fortress... then it's much more plausible that the fight is bigger(and cheaper, and you don't have to worry about toppling buildings, and zillions of extras in danger)... but again, this is SV, don't count on it.

I know, I get what your saying . I just don't want a cheap typical smallville One sided fight. Doomsday is known as the one who killed superman, The only super villain in the mythology . Since he is being used in "Smallville" early than he should be . I'm hoping that we get a full blown epic showdown .

I get that the tv buget of smallville, prevent them from doing massive stuff like DCAU has done or live action movies . However this series has time and time again proven it is more than capable of raising the bar in VFX department . Brainy some of the stuff this series has done over the course of 8 seasons has been quite extraordinary that it's even better than the CGI used in Superman Returns .

The Fortress Of Solitude,
The city of Metropolis particularly - The Daily Planet & Lexcorp ,
The planet Krypton,
Brainiac and other Kryptonian elements (The Phantom Zone), (The Phantoms) Kryptonite , Bizarro, Doomsday etc....)

I'm saying they should go all out in this episode with the fight .

I wasn't knocking your idea on the episode. I agree with you, I really hope they pull out all the stops and just go for a huge fight the likes of which we haven't seen on the show.

I have been really impressed with the quality of the season under the new management besides a few snafus, so I have confidence it'll be good.
