8 injured in Colorado school shooting

This **** is getting beyond ridiculous.

..and way too common that it's not even headline news.

Another pair of Eric and Dylan fans, I’ve got a feeling.

Kids have to be heroes because adults refuse to give up their guns. Pretty pathetic.

Absurd? Get a grip. You guys have a serious problem in the US.

The solution to which is an outright banning of guns? So only the military, police and criminals have guns. Okay.

Yeah you and your little pea shooter really have a chance against the military. And you're the one in the racism thread defending police shootings. Don't give me that crap that people need guns to defend themselves against the police. You would say the police were justified in their shooting if the "suspect" had a gun.

And no, not an outright ban. But something would be a good start.

Fall in line with the rest of the worlds gun laws, of which the majority of developed countries enjoy the exact same freedoms that the USA enjoys.

Or don't you know.. whatever, keep your guns & we'll see you back here in another 3-6 months when the next fatal mass shooting happens to repeat the conversation over again.

Sooner or later, there will be someone killed in one of these senseless acts that is the right person ie the son/daughter, brother/sister, father/mother of someone with some actual clout that can kickstart something to overhaul the US gun laws.

Saying "something has to be done" without any suggestion for what that something would be is pointless. But your first comment was that this is the fault of adults who wouldn't give up their guns. Kendrick Castillo enjoyed hunting. I'll assume he used a gun to do so ( to be fair he could have used a bow). By your logic, he's to blame for his own death for not giving up his gun as much or more than the mentally ill person who stole a gun and took it to school to do harm.

I wasn't suggesting people need guns for defense from the police. I was attempting to point out who would be left armed if private citizens were not allowed gun ownership as you suggested.

We've already been through possible solutions in the Guns thread. I'm not rehashing all of the arguments here because it is pointless. People like you will always find a fault in any solution.

Fixed that for you.

sigh

Are you aware this state legalized marijuana and now pretty much legalized psychedelic mushrooms? Do you think a responsible gun owner is more dangerous than a guy on mushrooms? Cocaine is not grown in this county yet literal tons of it make it here every week, we can ban fire arms all we want-just like cocaine-and i promise you will be able to them within 4 miles of your home. Guns cant, dont and wont kill people-dumb people on the other hand do.

RIP Kendrick Castillo.
Absolutely.
The more testimony I hear about Kendrick Castillo's actions, kid died a hero, instinctualy, selflessly protecting his colleagues, at his own peril;.
Inspiring and giving others the opportunity to wrestle the gun away, and most others to escape.
An absolute hero.

Kendrick Castillo enjoyed hunting.....
Of course gun nuts try to appropriate him and his actions.

Ok, hunting, and fishing, and building robots.... etc.
Guess what he didn't do, go to school with a gun, that's what the other guy(s) did.
Kendrick Castillo is who helped stop, bring him down to take away his gun.
Do you understand the difference, how this heroic kid does not represent your cause.

Oh yes, the Guns thread, where someone argued an AR-15 has no use in hunting because it would leave an animal riddled with bullets. They of course didn't understand that an AR-15 is one bullet per trigger pull.

You're answer is a total cop out. I wouldn't be shocked if you didn't bother to learn where or how the shooters got their guns before making your initial comment. Those are the ones to blame here.

They got the guns from their parents. Which raises yet another issue that parents don't secure their guns properly and I can post a plethora of news articles where kids accidentally shoot other kids or themselves with their parents' weapons. But I hope you got the point.
