Grant Farrel, an ordinary mortal is suddenly invested with the supernatural powers of the ancient god, Thor, son of Odin, supreme ruler of Valhalla!
Read the first adventure here!

Cool, huh?:woot:

If Grant Morrison ever writes Thor, I think you just gave him his first story note.

Freaky. I never heard of this version before. Kind of neat.

Yeah, from Victor Fox' Weird Comics. Kirby drew the Blue Beetle syndicated newspaper strip for him for awhile. Fox was apparently a nut. He also commissioned the creation of the first Superman rip-off, the Golden Age Wonder Man:

Drawn by none other than the great Will Eisner.

S&K took their first shot at Thor in the Sandman strip in Adventure Comics:

The earliest Kirby mythological based strip was "Mercury" from Red Raven Comics:

Yeah I have images of those, but I remember that top one in a comic my Dad had. I seem to remember that Thor also road the lightning bolts like a surf board.

I hate the way they always make Hades/Pluto the villian, he was practically the only god who wasn't a habitual *****ebag.. even Athena had her major B-with-an-itch moments. Just ask Medusa.
