Here is a question to all dog lovers and others with knowledge of dogs. I was watching a commercial with a labrador licking a human's face. I know that the "A dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's" is false. However, I think I read somewhere that a dog's mouth is not really bad if it licks you, and also know that the germs in a dog's mouth doesn't really affect a human (like if a dog licks your face, you won't get a pimple because of it's saliva, etc.)

Back on topic, my father is watching the commercial with me. He asks me if I let dogs lick me in the face. I say "Yes." He thinks that dogs licking humans is nasty. I ask why, and he says "Well, I don't believe that dogs mouths are clean. They licks their stuff, and they lick all of these other things. If you put honey on some shyit, they'd eat it, and those shyit particles will be all on your face." (I was dying because that was so funny. :D) Now, I would assume that a dog's mouth has certain things in it that fight off those types of germs, but since I don't now for sure, I'm asking you Hypesters.

Is it really true that the germs in a dog's mouth don't really affect humans to drastic degrees? If a dog eats a piece of shyit, does that necessarily mean that if it licks you, you have shyit all over our face?

Tell your dad that you don't need to put honey on sh1t to get a dog to eat it. They'll be happy to eat it plain without any condiments.

lmao, your dad is hilarious. i don't know man, they do lick thier balls and go aorund eating and licking at other stuff. either way i would'nt let a dog lick me.

My friend, while inebriated, brought up something totally unrelated to this but involves things touching other things...so let me expound. And bear with me because its slightly disturbing.

A group of about 5 of us were throwing yo mama jokes back and forth...and this one young'un got really offended almost to the point of violence and said, "Don't talk about my mama!! My mama is a saint and doesn't do any of those nasty things!!!"

This did nothing but trigger everyone's smartass modes even moreso so one of the guys said, "Psh...yo mama is just like everyone else's mama...she's even done stuff with you".

The boy at this point is livid and is ready for physical violence...but his curiosity gets the better of him and he asks, "What the hell are you talking about? I've never done ANYTHING to my mama".

Other guy replies, "Well, let me break it down for you. Are you a natural born child?"

Young'un, "Yeah...why?"

"Well, if you were born naturally then you passed through your mama's vagina...and your lips and possibly even tongue grazed across said vagina...so you see, you've been down on your mom!"

*fist fight breaks out*

but I digress...dog saliva is freaking gross and people who make out with their dogs deserve to be humped in their sleep.

It all depends on how clean you are and how clean your dog's living conditions are. If you live in a small apartment with a tiny backyard and your dog s***s all over the small yard, chances are those bacteria are going to end up on you because they can track in it on their paws. If you live in a clean place and you clean your dog too...then it won't be a problem. I let my doggy give me kisses on the check but I try not to think about her licking her own cooter box 3 minutes ago in front of the couch. I would never eat after my dog or let her lick inside my mouth.

If a dog eats a piece of ****, I hope to God that dog doesn't lick you in the face. But its just that these oral-prone germs are often very harmful for one species and may not be harmful to another. So a certain thing that has lots of germs maybe bad for a human and not a dog...and a certain thing that has a lot of germs maybe relatively harmless to humans but not so good for a dog

Mythbusters tested and a dog's mouth was cleaner.

Hey, I grew up on ranch with many a dog over the years and now have dogs of my own. I have never seen a dog that won't gleefully eat some sort of sh1t if given the chance. Sometimes it's catsh1t. Sometimes it's horse sh1t or cow sh1t. Sometimes it's another dog's sh1t. Sometimes it's even their own sh1t. But rest assured, all dogs will eat some kind of sh1t if they get the opportunity.

I dont think your in any real danger, from a dog licking your face. Its a sign of effection from them, and i think their mouth`s saliva has things in it that kills germs.

Just so you guys know, germs are everywhere. There are ***** particles in the very air you breathe, so worrying about a dog licking your face because of germs and fecal matter is pointless.

you have the coolest avatar I've seen in many a moon

Oddly enough, I spent 4 months out of my childhood years on a farm with 6 dogs. One of them ate ****. And even then, it was only after he was hit by a truck and suffered brain damage. My dog now doesn't eat ****. He'll give it the quick sniff, and he's on his way. I don't even wanna know what you were feeding your dogs that they'd confuse it with feces.

It's true, a dog's mouth is cleaner than a humans, mainly due to their body temperature. But dogs are still evil and must be destroyed.
