Am I the only one who would love to see a sequal to this? I wouldnt want it to be a rehash of the first one but instead something along the lines of the even horizon warping itself right next to earth. I guess I kinda see it like a mix between Doom and war of the worlds.

Anyway who else would love to see a sequal but not a rehash?

Horror movies shouldn't have sequels. If Hollywood would just pump out 5-10 quality new horror films a year instead of a bunch of crappy sequels and maybe one new movie, maybe horror movies wouldn't be considered crap by so many,

Aliens was better then Alien. I would take it in an Aliens type direction.

If an Event Horizon sequel is made, I'll just watch something else

Ok, I like Event Horizon, but it was what it was. A b-horror movie. As entertaining and fun as it was, it's not in the same league as Alien, so what makes you think anyone making a sequel to it will make it at least as good as the original, if not an all time classic movie like Aliens

I liked Event Horizon, but the story is one-and-done.

Event Horizon was good as a stand alone film. It wasn't great by any means and it's far from deserving of a sequal. I went to the theater to see that movie when it came out with a friend and we were both just taken back by it. We had no clue what we had just seen, but it was cool enough we thought. And we kept asking the question, "Is there lightning in space?".

But I say No to a sequal.

You could say this about 90% of all movies with a sequal. Star wars, Alien, Predator, Friday the 13th, Halloween. Im not saying Event Horizon is a timeless classic but what I am saying is you could expand it to another movie much like Alien went to Aliens. Aliens was not so a much a horror movie but much more an action thriller.

I think if they took the main theme from the first AKA a ship with a gateway to Hell attached to it and expanded on it it could make for a better sequal than original.

I don't think it rates a sequel. Expounding upon a B movie usually just shines a light on how week the source material is.

How was Star Wars one and done? If you ask me, they had a lot of explaining to do after the first one. And yes, you can say that 90 percent of movies that have sequels didn't need them. You know what else you can say, that 90 percent of those 90 percent sucked. Also, part of the fun of the first one was how little you knew about what was going to happen. Now there's no suprise factor, it's a been there, done that kinda premise. I say no way.

No thanks. It was an okay movie nothing special about it at all, though visually I thought it was good. I dont think its good enough to warrent another one,but then again theres been worse movies that have had sequels.
