Marvel Comics' superhero hero titles are getting "A Fresh Start" come May 2018, with "new series, new creative teams, new directions, new beginnings." Take a look at the announcement video:

The Jim Cheung pin-up features Marvel Comics' primary superheroes, as well as some somewhat-surprises in the appearance of Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider and the notable absence of Iron Heart.

Hoping this is like Rebirth but for Marvel.

Time for the annual relaunch already?

So, Aaron is taking over Avengers. I am almost tempted to pick it up, because Robbie Reyes is on the team, and he wrote an amazing Ghost Rider book.

I wish there would be 1 sole X-Men title.

The roster for that Avengers relaunch is nice though I would replace Ghost Rider with Ant-Man or the Wasp.

I hope we’re getting Reed and Sue back with this overhaul

I hope B List Avengers that can't maintain solos like Wonder Man, Scarlet Witch, Vision, Quicksilver, Wasp, Pym, Ant-Man, Spectrum, Hercules, Hawkeye, ect at least get a team book. Use the name Ultimates or Force Works or something.

Collectively superheroes of that ilk should be able to maintain a team book if they have a good creative team.

so based on what Brevoort says..Some titles will keep the “classic numbering” but some won’t.

He doesnt say that. He says they might remain in a subordinate fashion, which I take it to mean they will do what they did in the early 00s and have two numbers. For Example:

Avengers v3, adopted a two number approach. The official numbering for this issue was 79, but it contained the original 494 in brackets. I see that happening

I feel like I've been getting burned by Marvel for each and every relaunch they've done in the last several years...so my expectations are definitely at ground level. Though I will say I like Jason Aaron writing The Avengers.

Also lol at Marvel getting rid of the legacy numbering after what 5 months? Man they couldn't even wait a year before going back to #1s

Here we go again..... Couldn't even last one year this time...

Marvel: Let's relaunch again!

DC: Here's a line for younger readers, with strong social messages.

There were rumors for awhile that this was a transition. Even if it wasn't, it makes sense that the firing of the Editor in Chief would result in a shakeup.

My typical view is this: As long as it doesn't impact the books I'm reading, I'm good with it. Dual numbering is a reasonable compromise (and makes sense, there's no way they can't do an Avengers 700), although I can also see it as pleasing no one.

Wasn't Legacy supposed to be that? I'm quite certain many people believed so...

#1's = $$$
Legacy numbers = $$$

How long until they switch back to legacy numbers? :sus

Actually, it sounds like they are using both.

Hoping this is like Rebirth but for Marvel.

And that's what Marvel needs to do to be successful. They need an overhaul not just a new coat of paint. DC was successful not only because they went back to a basic approach of good story telling with well developed characters but also because they were honest, admitted their faults and were apologetic to the fans.

I hope we’re getting Reed and Sue back with this overhaul

As well as Peter and MJ. Also a huge "we're sorry" from Marvel and the undoing of OMD.

This actually looks promising

Time will tell. If this is yet again just another Marvel new coat of paint with flashy rims, fans will know and sales will continue to go down. I think at this point Marvel fans are just tired of all the crap.

And on that note, my condolences to all the Iron Man fans out there. You have my sympathy.
