I'm starting to like having a growing MOC collection.. just to have.. and I think I'm developing a phobia of taking figs out of their boxes(mainly because i haven't opened any of the 50 or so figs i've gotten recently due to space..)

I might just have to buy doubles of everything from now on.. one moc.. one Loose... :( I'm afraid to open my new dcsh figs.. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!

If Rough could talk himself outta doin' that then you can. Its more space consumption if you have one loose and one MOC. And for what?? Whats the MOC stuff gonna do other that hang on a wall of pushpins or nails??

Dude, One MOC fig takes up a lot more room than One Loose fig.

MOC figs many years down the road are not going to be worth what a MOC 1979 Boba Fett is today, because there are many more figs produced and many many mre folks buying them and tucking them away to get rich later. Lemme Ask you, Do you have an HML Banshee MOC? Why? Because how many MOC Banshees do you see on shelves still?

MOC is not worth it, these figs are meant to be bought and enjoyed, so enjoy them, open them up, put them on your shelf, and have some fun with them, would you buy a plastic wraped Comic and not read it? Do you rip the shrink wrap offa your DVDs and Video Games? Is Your George Forman Grill still in it's box? Do you buy big juicy steak and then leavi it in the freezer wrapped in plactic, and dig it out and loook at it every once and a whie and maybe Smell it?

The answer is too all of those is HELLS NO, except the DVD/Video Game one cause I worded it wrong....but c'mon man...in the long run MOC is not the way to go,

I have abandoned my MOC ways, and as soon as I get stuff down here in the basement straightened out I am even cracking open my MO Kingdom Come collection...and I have all o them.

I must admit I have some MOC figs but its an extremely selective and eclectic group. I have a couple of my rarer DCD Batman figs MOC like the First Appearance one and the original Kingdom Come Batman. I have that SF 2-pack that is MOC really due to the fact I tucked it away in a box and kinda forgot about it until I rummaged through some stuff. I have a few rarer wrestler figs like a 1 of 5000 RVD fig and some other rarer ones but its a handful. I have the MOC variant Justice Superman because he's kinda rare and I have the reg already loose so no need for two loose Justice Supes. And the creme de la creme, the diamond in the rough is the sole MOC ML I have, the Stealth Iron Man.

So, unless it has a special place in your heart I say rip'em open. My loose vs MOC ratio has gotta be 25 to 1 and I'm probabaly lowballing. Nevertheless, if they are special to you and MOC is how you prefer to keep SOME of them then thats cool but to have that many MOC is just nutz.

I got my GI Joe....25th anniversary packs MOC... until I have space to display them.

SsM, I'd say don't bother doing both. Cause then you'l have the urge to go back and get doubles of figs from a long time ago that you'll have to ebay. And you already did that once, I don't think you'd want to do that again.

Now I know I have a loose set and a MOC set of MLs, but not everyone can be as cool as me. jk. But it's a pain, so I wouldn't do it. Especially if you're having space issues.

And I will never collect loose and MOC crap together again, except for maybe continuing ML. For instance, I opened up all my LCBH and even though I know I won't display them too long b/c of space reasons, I didn't want them taking up space being MOC. So they are all loose. Except for the shirtless SD and the varaint of super patriot.

couldnt had said it better myself

the only one im keeping MOC is the ML destroyer varient cos thts hard to come by and should be even more rare down the road.

ThaT Makes sense.....but then again....I cracked mine right open cause I wanted him in my collection.

I used to keep all of my ML variants MOC, but one day I decided it wasn't worth it, and that I'd enjoy them more loose. Now I just keep certain things MOC, like Silver Wolverine and my Ultimate Galactic Hunt Commander Cody.

Whislt I don't collect Marvel figures, I once used to be just like SsM. But Roughneck's absolutely correct about the value of things. I used to have all of my Star Wars titanium vehicles in their packages hoping that one day I might make a tidy profit. I then realised the futility of it. Now I rip them all open and proudly display them as how they're intended to be (unless you're 8, then you play with them ;) ).

The only purchase that I own that is still in its package is the Celebration III Gold X-Wing because of the ultra limited number available in this planet and worth keeping for investment purposes.

Other than that, I don't bother with keeping them mint in cases any more. Enjoy your articulated and fully poseable collection.

yeah i want one in my collection, but the way i got him cos i got the whole series off ebay including him for like £60 so i got a damn good deal on him, so im resisting lol i wouldnt mind a loose one though, my bad guys display needs filling out.

I wasn't always correct, I used to have a hallway lines with MOC figs...Ihad a comlete set of TBML 1-12 all Moc.

I still have night complete sets of 90s figs (X-men/X-force/MarvelSuperheroes) all MOC, but that's cause I bought them after th fact and they just wouldn't be fun to open now.

I have a few MOC figs... but honestly for one reason only... i have no bloody place to put them...

My MOC collection is...
-Dark Phoenix (who ill open in a heartbeat as soon as i find a place for her)
-Goliath (i have not a damn reason to open him honestly)
-Metallic scoprion, the original one is much better imo... and i don't need to display 2 scorpions
- ummm i feel like theres one more... ooo ya... green FA hulk...

i even just opened mowhawk storm.. and gasp! ripped her apart!, im taking parts of her, and a few other figs, to make a real mowhawk storm costumed ororo

I'll never ever open my Stealth Iron Man and Kingdom Come Batman. Its the only MOC figs I know I'll never open. Plus the re-issued KC Batman and he's already loose. ;)

i'll open a stealth ironman when i get it some day... i opened ditko.. and its just as rare lol

Twice as Rare because his Package said Hulk.

You're both welcome

His package doesn't say Hulk. And thanks again toots.

Invest in some shelves and pose those mother****ers.

Yeah, well the mistake that we and other SW fans made is that collected SW figs and kept them MOC when we should have been collecting Transformers and keeping those MOC.

But Hasbro has really ****ed all use SW collectors by rehashing old figures. Those mother fudgers.

actually... packaging logo mess-ups are only worth more to morons.... lol
