So just because the killer had "white and black face paint" means that he must have automaticly been inspired by the Joker?

White and Black face paint = Many people use it.

If he was really inspired by the Joker, why not just add the red lips?

Media garbage. I'm waiting for some more details before I go blaming The Joker just because he had something as painfully common as "white and black face paint"

Wait wait, I think the media may be twisting this story up a bit, I read it a bit more closely.

When the 20-year-old was arrested, his only words were, "I have a question," The Telegraph reported. The statement is similar to a scene in the film where the Joker violently crashes a party and asks, "I only have one question: where is Harvey Dent?"

Ok they're saying that he said "I have a question" when he was arressted and automatically throwing in a similar quote from TDK, what the hell?

Ahaaa the plot thickens! Yea, the media love it don't they? They'll do anything to cause controversy. Notice that it also says that his class mates said he was a film geek as well, they made sure to point that out.

Nowhere in the Belgium news says that Kim asked:“I have a question, where is Harvey dent etc”. I have only read this in the English news. Belgium detectives report to be skeptical about the link between Kim and the Joker and think there is none.

The english papers wrote a lot of crap that is nowhere to be found in belgium papers.

yeah same here in the netherlands , yesterday night there was an interview on tv with someone who watched the dark knight because the media says Kim looks like the joker bla bla bla... , and he said what kim did is almost the same as joker blowing up the hospital

According to the belgium press Kim wasn't wearing any white or black paint. He was just very pale looking by nature with heavy bags under his eyes. He did however have bright red hair.

It was the foreign countries like England that made the first connection between Kim and the joker.

Also they are tying to blame GTA too. According to a Belgium newspaper the media twisted the words of a pc game Belgium salesman. When a reporter asked him if Kim bought any video games at his store he awnsered yes. When asked "what?" he didn't know the specifics. When asked if he sold GTA and said yes that was enough for the reporter to make the accusation of GTA.
