Michael Jordan is arguably the best athlete of all time...we have Babe Ruth movie, a Dale Earnhardt movie and a Muhammad Ali movie, anyone else want a MJ movie? i think he has a great story as well, not to mention some of the best basketball performances of all time...

i also wouldnt mind a Hank Aaron movie, that man went through some s***.

seriously though, I wouldn't mind in MJ film. I'd take that over Tiger Woods or Venus and Serena...

lol i thought of Space Jam while making this thread! but i feel his impact on basketball is worthy of his true,real story much like Ali was.
 
Actually there was a Michael Jordan bio movie done. I remember it because I wished they had an actor who bared a little more resemblance. He was played by that guy from The Shield Michael Jace eer something.
 
yea but wasnt that a straight to DVD or TV movie? im talking about a big star playing him, like will smith playing Ali, he shoulda won an oscar that, he did fantastic.

i just think a icon like MJ deserves as much, whether he wants it or not lol. he is a very modest person.

Oh yeah, I agree. Been saying the same thing. Jordan has looked the same age for like 12 years, maybe with makeup he can just do the part himsel ala ALI ;)
 
yea it is hard to replicate, i think that would be the biggest problem is casting MJ. but regardless, IMO, he has a great story...from his time in UNC, to professional, to his dad dying and winning a NBA championship shortly after... some of the things he did on the court(and im not even a basketball fan) is astonishing.

also that article about Heckard or whoever suing MJ is hilarious. maybe i should sue Elijah Wood, people call me frodo... :( hahah

his sons dont resemble him much at all. if only Lebron James wasnt a NBA star, but an actor.

Michael Jordan is not the best athlete of all time. WTF are you smoking? He was good at basketball for about 8 years.

The best basketball player of all time qualifies him for best athlete of all time... i said arguably.... so who is, in your opinion, the best???
 
I would love an MJ movie. His airnees deserves more than TV movie fair.
 
Umm... He was the best basketball player of all time. Hell, if he wanted even at 45 he could still play in the NBA I bet. He certainly deserves best athlete considerations.

Michael Vick...then you could have a juicy dog fighting ring subplot. The best all around athlete of all time is shaping up to be Tiger Woods IMO. He will become the first billion dollar athlete pretty soon, has made a household name of himself, has millions of endorsement deals, and has a constant video game license. I don't consider golf to be that athletic but since it is considered that way. He still has a long career ahead of him and he has done so much thus far. Michael Jordan now is only seen doing Hanes commercials.
 
hahaha so very true... back to the topic... like i said casting for MJ would be very difficult...

however for a movie on Hank Aaron, which is being rumored since Bonds broke the record, i wouldnt mind seeing Denzel REALLY break through, i say REALLY cause hes had good roles, but nothing spectacular IMO...

but for MJ, all i can see now for casting is, damn, if only Tyrese Gibson and Jamie Foxx could reproduce a 6''6' person.
 
Will Smith IMO could pull off MJ. But I don't think an MJ movie will be made any time soon.

yeah, 10 years after he absolutely DOMINATED basketball. Tiger woods is a great...eh, 'athlete', but a jordan he will never be. golf and basketball are so different its not capable of comparison. a tiger movie, maybe when hes retired for a few years...

jordan deserves a motion picture with a worthy actor.
