Nia is carrying herself with so much confidence and a sense of calm these days, I wouldn't be all that surprised if she holds the title until Wrestlemania, I just hope Charlotte isn't her opponent.

I'm fairly confident she's losing it before Mania. Maybe at Survivor Series or the Rumble.

I expect Charlotte back soon. She'll either take the title off her and then immediately get cashed in on by Tiff.. Or Tiff will cash in during a Nia/Charlotte title match and pin Charlotte. Tiff carries it to Mania where she and Charlotte face off.

Mania women's matches I expect at the moment:
- Charlotte vs. Tiff
- Bianca vs. Jade
- Becky vs. Rhea
- Bayley vs. Roxanne

Good to see AJ back on Smackdown, I think the injury was an angle, I wasn't 100% sure at first but the backstage bit with the doc made me think it's a work, just not sure what the purpose is yet. 🤔

Michin vs Chelsea in a dumpster match stole the show! :D it was pretty physical with a great finish, Chelsea having bin bags as part of her entrance gear, and Piper coming out as a trashwoman in a cowboy hat was hilarious, it was no surprise that Chelsea ended up in the dumpster but the match got both women over, Chelsea covered in garbage is material She'll work with for weeks, and Michin got a big babyface win.

I like the consistency of Bianca not having a bar of Bayley, just like Owens distrust of Roman is realistic and even AJ owning his past in his promo, it seems only Rhea's heel acts are ignored.

The Bayley, Nia and Tiffy promo was solid enough, Tiffy calling Bayley "Pam" was a bit awkward but she recovered quickly. The Naomi vs Tiffy match that followed was really good, both women are excellent athletes and Tiffy pulls off some unique spots.

The 3 team ladder match was an entertaining enough car crash, the Tongan's needed that win after being cannon fodder for the last couple of months. The highlight was the promo that Jacob Fatu cut during the walk to the entrance, he nailed it.

The Motor City Machine Guns are coming...

I didn't see this somehow, I knew they'd signed but I thought they were going to NXT. Obviously they are more than qualified for the main roster but Raw might have been a better fit as I can see them getting the tag titles off Balor and JD much sooner than getting them off the Tongan's.

Can't lie man, I really hope those aren't the Women's title matches at WrestleMania, admittedly Smackdown's options are scarce but Charlotte for like the 15th time? :( and I don't see any need to run Rhea vs Becky back, there's plenty of options on Raw.

Would Roxy vs Bayley be for the NXT title or are you thinking Roxy will be on the main roster by Mania? Either way I'd like to see that match, and Bianca vs Jade definitely feels plausible, even though I think Hade could do with more development given the level of match fans expect from Bianca.

@Hunter Rider Charlotte wins a title every time she returns from an injury. It's like a rule lol.

Maybe she beats Nia, and then Tiffy cashes in on Charlotte? I definitely expect these two to have a match at one of the big shows.

AJ has been talking about retiring for a while now. This was suppose to genuinely be his last WWE contract. So doing the "old man AJ" thing, might be the angle. Or he's actually hurt and the world sucks.

Just to be clear, this is what I expect. Though I personally have no problem with any of the matches.

Charlotte vs. Tiff I'm 100% on imo. It's the Mania match I'm most sure about. More so then Cody/Rock and Roman/Solo. Nia's going around calling herself the queen. Tiff has the briefcase. It will be Charlotte vs. the woman walking in her footsteps. Charlotte will be way over with her return. It all fits.

Who on RAW do you think could be in a world title match? I love Iyo. She's one of my favs. But she's been moved way down the card. Liv could, but I can't imagine they stretch her vs. Rhea to Mania, and Rhea will be in the title match. I do expect Liv to make it to he Rumble with the title, but no more. And honestly, I really don't want to see Liv in a Mania title match. She can't wrestle, still!

Roxanne's getting called up soon. She's losing that title to Giulia. Maybe after Giulia kills Cora and then at Deadline. Then Roxanne probably gets called up with the Rumble. They'll want to put her with Bayley, so that's SD. I think Roxanne will get the fast track. Might even win MITB next year. But they'll definitely want her on Mania imo.

Bianca vs. Jade feels written in the stars as well. They've been building it for a while. Jade isn't ready, but that's why it's Bianca.

I did wonder if that was initially where they were going and could still be the case, it was certainly interestingly done if this is an angle, the low key nature of it has left everyone uncertain.

Charlotte will get the initial return pop but she really sucks as a face, it just goes against her natural being, and her beating Tiffy at Mania just feels counter progressive to me. Don't get me wrong, Charlotte is very good in the ring and I'm sure the match will be good, but I honestly couldn't muster any enthusiasm for it, not at Mania.

I think there's a few ways they could go, admittedly Liv isn't a great worker, she's a hard worker but only Rhea has gotten a really good match from her, but as we know in Pro Wrestling overness and heat can trump in-ring, look at the current IC champ, so I wouldn't rule out Liv making it to Mania as her double act with Dom is extremely over. I also think they have a Rey Mysterio style underdog story with Zelina, who's the best talker on the Women's roster, then there's Alexa Bliss about to return and let's not forget Asuka, I think her or Iyo can be heated up easily to face Rhea at Mania if they are wanting a great in-ring match. Personally I'd love them to work a way to a triple threat between Asuka, Iyo and Kairi. :D

Just as I was about to press submit, I thought, what about if Tiffy cashed in on Liv? 🤔

Roxanne's getting called up soon. She's losing that title to Giulia. Maybe after Giulia kills Cora and then at Deadline. Then Roxanne probably gets called up with the Rumble. Ah right, I've seen Shawn and Booker T on Busted Open talking about Roxy being ready, and she's clearly already better than 95% of the women on the main roster, but I agree with Bully and Dreamer, they must have a plan for her, it would be criminal to bring her to the main roster and have her booked like Lyra Valkyria. Is Deadline a PLE or a special edition of the regular tv show? I know the Iron Survivor match is part of it, I thought Giulia would win that to get her title shot. Do you think Roxy will defend against Stephanie Vaquer at Halloween Havoc and Giulia vs Cora there as well, instead of a tag match?

I agree that it felt like the plan was Bianca and Jade to team at 40 and then ve tag champions for a year before facing off at 41, but if I was booking I'd push it back to SummerSlam or 42, as right now I think anything more than a 7 or 8 minute match will expose Jade.

I did wonder if that was initially where they were going and could still be the case, it was certainly interestingly done if this is an angle, the low key nature of it has left everyone uncertain.
Yeah. Honestly I'm still unsure if it was a work or not. WWE playing with kayfave in some decent ways these days.

Oh, I totally get you. I don't even think you're wrong. I also don't know who would win the theortical Mania match. But in terms of face Flair, I think she has a few things in her favor.

She hasn't been around for a long time. But when she was, it felt like she had reached legends status, where the fans are into her. But I also think that might just have to do with the type of WWE crowds we have now. They're usually happy so go with what HHH is asking from them.

When it comes to Liv, the only good matches I feel like she's had are with Becky and Nia. Becky, who's good at adapting to get the most from her opponents. And Nia, who is the best women's hoss in the business. I know the crowd is into her and I like her. I just find her wrestling so not good and it's made Rhea looks clumsy.

If we get some women's midcard titles, that opens up a lot of possibilities for Mania.

As to Tiff cashing in. The only way I see that is if they want Tiff on RAW because of Netflix, but I'm really doubtful of that right now. RAW is loaded compared to SD. And SD is rumored to be going to 3 hours soon. Another reason I expect call ups that see a lot of NXT call ups to SD in the New Year.

Deadline is the PLE for December.

I'm not 100% sure on how it all plays out. The only thing I'm sure of is Giulia is going to be the champ and most likely beat Roxanne for it.

I think Havoc could see some sort of triple threat, which again keeps Giulia away from the belt. I'm super curious what the plan is for Vaquer. She's great and how she plays into this is a real mystery to me.

I agree with you on what would be best. But I also think they're going to want big matches for their big attractions at Mania. I'd love to see Bianca vs. Rhea at Mania instead. If they do that, maybe Jade vs. Nia in a short grudge match at Mania? Let Jade put on a Hogan/Brock vs. Giant performance.

Yeah. Honestly I'm still unsure if it was a work or not. WWE playing with kayfave in some decent ways these days.

The only bits that made me think work was when they showed AJ with the trainer and Aldis saying he was going to check in him.

You're right that the WWE live crowds seem to be fairly compliant with what is booked, I think because mostly the booking isn't designed to piss them off like it was for the last decade under Vince. The last time I saw Charlotte was when she wrestled Iyo on Smackdown, and the crowd were pretty pro Iyo even though she was the heel.

That being said I can't argue that the fact she's been out nearly a year will play into their favour for a while, in the same way as Orton is arguably more over than ever after an 18 month lay-off, it could be the same for Charlotte, just to a lesser degree. I think if they go this route it might be better if Tiffy goes in as challenger, I feel it would make the outcome less certain.

I actually liked the SummerSlam match, I thought Rhea's timing and athleticism made Liv's offense look the best it's looked, but I'd agree in the Raw brawls it's made Rhea look clumsy as you say, partly because Liv can't brawl, and it's not a size thing, she just doesn't throw credible strikes so Rhea is taking bumps off whiffers at times.

They really need those midcard titles Imo, there's plenty of talent but I don't think there's a lot of strong promos in the division, so the belts would basically serve as a goal to put stakes on some matches and offer a platform for progress. It's one of the reasons I've enjoyed Chelsea and Michin, a solid angle that was simply a personal beef built up over a few weeks with a pay-off match, but there's too few of these with the women.

Agreed, I mentioned it as they've brought up a few times that Tiffy can cash in on any champion, but ultimately the Smackdown women's roster is already understocked, they need more women, can't afford to lose any. With 3 hours those NXT call-ups are definitely needed, I'm curious which women join Roxy, I also wonder if WWE sign Jordynne Grace she'll go straight to the main roster.

Thanks

Overall I'd agree with that, they've invested a lot in Giulia and she's odds on to be the one to dethrone Roxanne, I am curious how long they'll keep her in NXT, you can see she's still adapting but within a couple of months I think she'll be in her stride and seems destined for bigger things.

Yeah, I'd heard of Giulia and seen some of her work a while back, even when I wasn't watching US wrestling, but I hadn't heard of Vaquer until the match with Mercedes where she totally flipped the crowd to her side, I was really impressed by her and checked out a couple more matches, I was glad when Triple H swooped in and signed her, and like you say she's a wildcard in this title scene as they've been teasing her vs Roxanne for a bit now as well.

That would be a great compromise, as they've been planting seeds for Jade vs Nia all year, so a no nonsense, short powerhouse match between them would be a shrewd singles showcase for Jade at Mania, especially if she can get Nia up for Jaded, that would give her a WrestleMania moment, and obviously Bianca vs Rhea would tear the house down.

Drew is ****ing star. He better get a massive push/title run after this. Punk will/is getting all the plaudits on social media and such, but Drew has been every inch as good as Punk has in this feud and made it what it was as much as Punk has. Will really annoy me if he get's the Gable treatment after all of this.

Right now I am of the opinion that Charlotte and Becky will return right around the same time and I am of the opinion that Becky doesn't return until the Rumble as a surprise entrant.

Oh when @Hunter Rider asked about 5 matches we'd want to see that hasn't happened yet mine are

Gunther vs Roman Reigns
Jacob Fatu vs Oba Femi
Cody Rhodes vs CM Punk
Tiffany Stratton vs Rhea Ripley
Kevin Owens vs CM Punk

Aside from Gunther, he's the best heel in WWE right now.

WWE is booking Jade better than AEW. Now like in AEW, she's not taking pins, but unlike AEW, the WWE is doing a "non-pinned, non-submit" streak. This was evident at the Rumble. She eliminated Nia, but soon got eliminated herself. Flash forward to the Queen of the Ring tournament, she did not win vs. Nia Jax, but only because she got disqualified, and then when she lost the Women's Tag Titles the first time, where neither she nor Bianca played a part in the decision.

In AEW, Jade was booked to win no matter what and undefeated streaks in wrestling are boring. A non-pinned/non submit streak is better booking. Like if Jade was to compete for the Women's Title the first time, they will add a third (or even a fourth) woman. This way Jade can be booked not to win the title yet but not count in the decision. This makes the inevitable "Jade gets pinned or submitted for the first time in WWE" something special, but it should not happen for a while.

By giving Jade the "non-pinned, non submit" streak, it makes things a lot more creative. This way she can lose matches and not be counted as part of the decision, therefore not losing her aura. Her and Bianca will lose those tag titles again (whether or not it's Bianca taking the pin, she can afford a pinfall loss unlike Jade right now or even like last time where they lost the titles without being a part of the decision) but Jade is not taking the pin.

I like what the WWE is doing with Jade Cargill, better than what AEW was doing.

So am I the only one who thought that Triple H was about to announce a Woman's mid card title before unveiling that ridiculous Crown Jewel belt?

Also I'm 100% sure Gunther will get speared soon.
