A New Era for the Wrestling Thread

Never would've expected this especially when it feels like the crossover has already wound down.

It will be interesting to see if Sami Callahan, PCO, Eddie Edwards, Bryan Myers, and Steve Macklin ever show up, because I don't know what the current relationship is between those guys and WWE.

Ziggler back in July when the crossover was starting:

"Now, if Randy Orton calls me out on Raw, okay, let’s talk. But at the moment, that NXT back and forth and getting people to jump and not know who’s going to be there, I love that there’s a possibility that I could show up and everyone would go, 'What the hell?' And I also wonder what music do we play and what name do we call me? But most importantly, I think it is for making our long-term talent, whether they’re homegrown or not, getting their faces there and not only helping them with their numbers but also getting more exposure for us when they come back to us."

Ziggler is right.

I wonder what TNA guys we'll see in the Rumble? Other than Joe Hendry.

Take it for what it's worth, but Dave Meltzer is reporting that Corey Graves is "shooting" and was intentionally trying to get fired.

IMHO if you are getting paid 400K-500K to work once or twice a week with a wife and kids at home plus an ex-wife, trying to get fired is not a cash money move.

Agreed 100 percent on your point. Meltzers opinion is worthless. Now I'm more convinced it's a work.

Well according to Meltzer this isn't his opinion, and he's been told by people within WWE that this is not a work or an angle.

He said if this is WWE attempting to work an angle and fool the boys, it sows distrust. That's more of his opinion though.

Hopefully his 2025 in reporting WWE will be better than in 2024, because in 2024, oh boy.....he made some major mistakes with regards to WWE rumors:

When the Rock was coming back as the Final Boss, he had an argument with Triple H, but thought this segment from ten years ago happened on the buildup to Mania 40:

Also, mentioned that Ivar was taking time off from WWE for a break, but Ivar himself refuted it saying that he was taking time off from WWE due to an injury. I think he also said that the reason Asuka has disappeared of screen was because creative had nothing for her when in reality, she just got injured. He got blasted for those three mistakes, and not just by the IWC either.

I can barely stand listening to Meltzer and he is very hit and miss, but he's still a titan in the industry, like it or not.

Changing the subject for a moment, but am I the only one that thinks this would be a really good feud?

Went to RAW on Monday. It was packed and had a great time seeing Penta debut and the women's IC title match. It's fun seeing Dakota get a run on the main roster for the first time... ever? Hoping her knees hold up.

Yeah right, "partnership". So TNA is becoming one of the new developmental areas for WWE.

Interesting.

It's 1000% a work. Uncle Dave is senile, but we all know that.

The WWE debuted Penta the right way because squashing Chad Gable does neither superstar a favor. Also, being a part of the LWO would not have been good.

I really, really, really hope he doesn't join one of the Latin factions. He can team with guys, but let him do his own thing until Rey gets there.

Decent line-up for Smackdown tonight, I'm hoping to see Roxy make her main roster jump official!

Mickie James has been backstage at NXT and Takers in the background, so might have something to do with that new show they're involved with.
