There were a lot of filler matches on Smackdown this week, although the Knight and Miz promo bit was amusing.
Chelsea vs Naomi was a decent match and I thought with Trish at ringside something might happen between her and Chelsea to lead to a match at Elimination Chamber given they're both Canadian, alas no. It was good to see some sudden development on the Jade angle, but I feel Liv and Raquel are a red herring, unless the plan is to have Bianca win the Chamber and Jade is going to become tag champions with Naomi and face Liv and Raquel at Wrestlemania, I don't particularly like that but I can see it happening.
Nia vs Tiffy was a bit clunky in places but overall a solid match with a surprise finish, I just expected Tiffy to win, but instead it set up Tiffy & Trish vs Nia & Candace, something I saw someone predict a week ago. I'm not sure they needed to shoehorn Charlotte picking Tiffy into the segment instead of letting the other angle breathe, but the nonchalant arrogance of Charlotte's delivery was good.
To quote Jesse Ventura from Summerslam '89 "You don't gotta ask where's the beef!" Which summed up the main event, they could have held this match in a meat freezer, a big, ugly smashfest sprinkled with some explosive moments from Jacob Fatu. The finish was messy but Priest was the obvious winner as it looks like they're heading towards Jacob vs Solo.
