It’s ridiculous… I know I rank Cena lower than most but he is nowhere near the 3 of them..

I rate Cena, but he's not the biggest draw ever he's not the most over ever and he's nowhere near the best in the ring ever.

I do not agree she's had more great matches then any of the other Horsewomen. I think Mercedes had a match arguably better then any Charlotte had just this week. Charlotte has had more typical WWE main event style matches, including all the flaws. Charlotte's psychology never really equaled the other Horsewomen.

One of my favorite examples of how much better Becky is then Charlotte are her matches with Bianca and Nia. Where Becky wrestles to those women's strengths, emphasizing their talents by trying to counter them with changes to her own work. Charlotte never does that. Instead she gets made when things don't go her way and she decides to shoot on people.

Sasha had a better match with Ronda then anything Charlotte has ever done that didn't involve her or Becky.

Charlotte's biggest advantage is she's physical. The others aren't try to actually injury they're opponents.

When it comes to the WWE, Becky, Sasha, Bayley, Asuka, Iyo, and Bianca all easily have better in-ring resumes than her. Honestly, Roxanne might already as well.

Well, admittedly it’s not a hill I’m willing to die on… I don’t care for Charlotte’s Hogan-like politicking, I’m no Charlotte fan.. But I come away from watching her matches understanding that she is as legit as they come in the Woman’s Division.. We’ll have to agree to disagree…

Awesome main event, all 3 guys killed it, so many great moments and Seth was on fire, that pedigree counter of the spear was epic! Then Heyman does his thing, the best facials this side of Riley Reid! Absolutely perfect match, deserved to close the show, it had the crowd invested all the way despite starting 3 and a half hours in, it was electric from start to finish and the actual finish was absolutely the right call, Punk is my guy but Seth totally deserves this spotlight.

I don't see Cody vs Cena tomorrow being able to live up to this.

Agreed on all points, I'm pleased he got his main event, he's my second favourite wrestler of all time, but I wasn't bothered about him winning it, this run is about great feuds and matches, he doesn't need to win all the time, and the path forward with Seth and Heyman is infinitely more interesting than if Roman or Punk had won.

Awesome main event. Honestly would've preferred a 1 on 1 Roman vs CM Punk match about 4 weeks ago but the history between the 3 plays well into it and they told a hell of a story. CM Punk got his main event but Seth ate the mat for Punk the last several months so Rollins deserved that win with the twist. I think folks saw it coming 2 weeks ago, but it's all about execution and it was awesome to see Paul lowblow both Punk and Roman. Really wanted Punk to get the win but this was the right call.

Very good match, most triple threat’s suffer from 3rd wheel problems with 1 guy laying for what feels like hours, that match kept the intrigue all the way through and cut that down as best you can… You never lost track of anyone for too long, it was paced well, alot of good spots and trade offs… One of the better matches of the last decade or so, not going to go crazy and say the best or even Top whatever cuz it wasn’t that but very good match with a memorable ending…

I have always been a Seth guy and I may be biased but he really showed in this whole fued that he’s one of the best ever… He’s in there with two of the most hyped wrestlers ever and he has never felt out of place, the entire story was really built around him, by him, in alot of ways and he was the best in the ring tonight with multiple great spots and moves… He proved he’s one of the best on the mic and one of the best in the ring during this fued, good to see him get the win…

So on a scale of 1 to 10, what do we give Night One?

I'd say 7, heavily due to the main event. Jacob vs Knight was also good and Jade vs Naomi was solid, while El Grande Americano vs Fenix was fun. I'm not totally sure how I rate Charlotte vs Tiffany, it was a strange match in many ways, and the first hour or so was really poor, Jey vs Gunther sucked and the tag title match had about as much heat as a paddling pool in the arctic.

I largely agree although I don't think moves make a great worker, what makes Seth great is he can do the spectacular stuff but he has good psychology, he knows when to do the moves, when to sell, when to engage the crowd, when to let the last big move breathe, it's what set Shawn and AJ apart from other super athletic workers, and Seth has it too, most guys who can do what Seth does athletically rely totally on highspots and all blend into each other. I'd say right now he's the best all round performer in the business.

Bumped it to a 7 because the last two matches were a lot of fun. But yeah, the first 5 matches felt like an episode of Raw or SD.

Vaguely related but man it still grinds my gears that they nixed the Sasha/Flair match 3 years ago for Wrestlemania because Ronda returned which I'm sure contributed to Sasha quitting the company. Mercedes is fine and she's getting paid big at AEW while back to having awesome matches, but she belongs in WWE. I still think once they saw Ronda was not getting the reaction they hoped for they should've inserted Sasha to make that a triple threat which I think would've actually also helped Ronda at that WM.

I completely agree, me characterizing it as moves and spots was just me keeping it short as some of my post tend to get long and avoiding the whole TLDR type post… There’s a reason he gets put in these big matches and feuds despite always kind of being the “other guy” to people like Reigns/Punk/Cody/Cena/Brock etc… He’s the workhorse, he’s the worker that they can place anywhere and know he’s going to make it good every single time… He can do any of the spots these other guys do but he doesn’t waste them, they make sense in the scheme of the match, he sells as good as anyone today, he knows how to pace a match instead of it just being a move showcase exhibition like some of the other “Top guys”…

He’s really come a long way on the mic too, you can put him across from a Punk/Cena/MJF type and while he’s not quite on their level, he’s not going to look out of place and he can hold his own with anyone now… I’ve thought he was the best all around for a bit now, it’s becoming harder and harder to deny it now…
