A New Era for the Wrestling Thread

And I think that SmackDown in Chicago with the whole arena booing her and Tiffy getting her lick back on the mic really shook her.

Agreed, she seemed genuinely rattled by it, I've never seen an experienced pro be so thrown off by a crowd before. I think her and WWE thinking her just coming back in and winning the Rumble was going to be met with positivity from fans was incredibly tonedeaf and set her up to fail from the start.

If she wanted support they should have shown her struggle to come back from such a bad injury with training vignettes, instead of showing her on yachts and in jets and in a Rolls Royce. Have her fall at the first hurdle (the Rumble) and build up support and empathy for her to scrap her way back too the top. Now personally I think she's more suited to being a heel, but if she wants to be a face they needed to read the room better.

It's happened before with Charlotte when the fans turned on her and picked Becky, and when she threw down the belt when she and Becky had to trade titles. Charlotte can't handle it when the fans don't follow the script.

Exactly. She should not have won the Rumble. Whomever eliminates her would have been elevated simply by being the one to eliminate Charlotte Flair. Then you go into a program from there. Could have been a Piper Niven, or Shayna Baszler for example, and boom Charlotte has a feud that's not about a title for the first time ever.

The vignettes were bipolar. There's her driving a Rolls, relaxing on yachts, and flaunting expensive clothing all heel things, and then there were ones of her working out coming back from an injury that could have retired her which is face stuff.

She needs to learn from Dom how to feed off those boos.

I think I'd have her feud with Piper, as I know they can put on some bangers.

Chelsea is a class act, the truth is that it's not about how well the women who did get on the card did, the real issue is that over 2 nights and 14 matches, why were there only 4 women's matches?

Spot on, there were so many women she could have worked with and built up, the truth is Charlotte is never going to beat the charges when it comes to the bull**** she's pulled over the years, but acting like everything is fine is how Vince ruined Roman for 6 years, you have to be aware of the issues and move accordingly, they ignored them and she somehow got shook despite it being obvious how fans would react.

1 match and 2 promo segments announced for Raw tomorrow night.

Indi Hartwell officially joined TNA last night, and Trick attacked Joe Hendry after his title defence.

I've seen a lot of people speculating that Theory will join Seth's group. I want to see Theory as a face, but I'd be happy for him to get that opportunity though because Theory is really good

Unless him and Waller join them as a team, I don't really see a split where Theory is the heel.

I saw this on Roxy's Instagram story, hanging out with Giulia 🤔 hopefully a run-in during the Rhea vs Roxy match tonight, to set up a tag match for Backlash.

This is a surprising one, WWE just announced that Stephanie Vaquer will face Ivy Nile on Raw tonight.

I think Cena needs a group and I would put Theory in it.

Good opening segment that will no doubt see a Sami beatdown that leads to Jey getting involved with Seth. One thing they need to do is get Seth new music.

Great match, that went exactly as it should have, Rhea went 50/50 with Roxy and solidified her, Giulia prevents the pinfall, Iyo makes the save and we're hopefully getting a tag team match at Backlash.
