A New Era for the Wrestling Thread

I'd guess that depends on just how long Liv will need off?

I'm curious what movie it'll be, though? There's several big movies filming soon

It sounds like she could miss a couple of months.

Apparently it's not a Marvel movie, but is considered a significant role in something big.

I have noticed that :) and considering the recent promo he had, he should be furious about Logan Paul getting a title shot. I wonder if he'll get involved and go into a feud with Jey from there?

If Kross decides to sport a mullet to copies Jey's hairstyle, then yes, he should feud with Jey.

In fact, Kross should go to NXT and Smackdown as well to copy hairstyles of Damien Priest, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Trick Williams, Ethan Page and Ricky Saints.

Just announced for tonight's NXT. I think Jordynne Grace turns on Iyo, Stephanie makes the save, then Rhea runs in, and we get a 6 woman tag team match at Backlash! 🙏

I have a solution for people like Dakota Kai, Omos, Andrade, etc. It's time for WWE to start a fourth roster and a two-hour primetime show. It will be the WWE Action Zone roster!

Not adding would be a mistake, the idea of not drawing comparison to previous groups makes no sense as every group is ultimately compared to the 4 Horsemen, and Seth and Bron could use a couple of extra heaters to avoid face pops and to take bullets for them.

@DarthSkywalker you seem to know more about Stardom than the rest of us put together, so what's the craic mate? How good is Mayu Iwatani?

The tag match main event on NXT last night of Iyo & Jordynne vs Roxy & Giulia was excellent, everybody shone but the closing sequence between Iyo and Roxy was.......

Giulia seems more comfortable working as a heel, @DarthSkywalker was she a heel in Stardom?

Mayu is basically the HBK of Stardom. Built to steal any show. She was a part of Threedom, with Iyo and Kairi and was in many ways the heart and soul of Stardom. That said, I don't see her coming to the US. She gets very homesick. I expect her to go to Marigold. She is very close to the old Stardom owner Rossi, who runs it. A lot like Iyo and Kairi. If she doesn't, then I guess WWE because of the connections.

Yeah, most of her time was as a heel. Honestly you could argue she never turned face but was so over, she felt that way. She was always crazy aggressive and went through a phase where she dressed up like she was in the military because she lost a hair vs. hair match.

Now I definitely hope she comes over! :wow: I'll have to look up some of her matches on YouTube. I've heard Iyo talk about homesickness being difficult, especially with the language barrier. I know Stephanie is nomadic but it helped Giulia and her to have each other when they moved to Florida, I wonder if WWE pitch Mayu to come in, if they'll bring her straight to the main roster so she'll have Iyo, Kairi and Asuka to help her settle in.

Ah right, that makes sense then, she seems freer since going heel, just letting the madness part of the beautiful madness come out. I remember when she first signed some said her stiffness would probably need to be toned down a bit, you can see she's even letting that in a bit more now with her strikes.

I was doing some googling on Mayu Iwatani and found this recent magazine cover, I like that IWGP title belt.

It may not be a Marvel movie, but it still be a comic book movie, in the James Gunn rebooted DC Universe?
