An odd question...

I'm into binding comic books in hardback volumes. One of my upcoming projects is the complete run of Crossgen's "Sojourn" and as most who read it know, it's incomplete due to the company closing down. However, the script for the final 2 issues were written (whether their legit or not I don't know, but I got them and they are a conclusion). I plan on including these 2 issues of script at the end of the volume for the sake of having the story, but I hate the idea of it being script and not art.

So my question is, would anyone here be willing to draw out those 2 issue? Back and White are fine, or even just pencil sketches. And I really don't have any money and won't for a while, but if some of you better artists would like compensation I'm willing to help with then whenever it's available to me.. just tell me how much.

So... anyone willing to help me out? Feel free to post here or PM me.

sounds like an intriguing project... but not for me i'm afraid. i'm not familiar with the series, just looked it up on wikipedia but it didn't really give me a very good idea of what it was like. is this straight sword & sorcery? or more humorous?

Sojourn was a very fantasy type of feeling comicbook. The idea was that this dark tyrant who had once ruled most of their world has come back from the dead. The main character named Arwen was a marvelous archer and she's sent on a quest to recover 5 pieces of the arrow that had originally killed the tyrant so that she could then kill the tyrant out of revenge to avenge her husband and daughter's deaths. The book was that quest. All swords, arrows, magic, dragons, trolls, etc. A great series, mostly drawn by Greg Land with other artists here and there and toward the end.

I can send pics of the comic to give an idea of the feel and such. I do have some of the comics on my computer, so I can send those as well if it helps (and if you have CDisplay... I think thats what its called, the program that lets you look at comics)

It sounds like a big project for an artist to do. I can tell you just from personal knowelge that the average comic book artist makes about $50 -$100 a page, depending on the company and the title. So you are looking at paying out $1000 - $2000 bucks for an artist to finish the series.

With that said. I am not sure what someone here would want, but it could be fun and give them exposure. It would be a great way for them to show their art off to companies looking for new artists.

Yeah, I can't afford that at all obviously. But the idea of this being good for a portfolio is good motivation. Even if two people split the project, one issue each... etc.
