I think we should create a Hype poll to vote on which cruse word we can uncensored.

So on my James Bond marathon I just discovered that I've never actually seen Thunderball. Like, I had definitely seen some clips of the Spectre bits, but the rest of this is totally new to me. Huzzah!
Huzzah indeed.

That's crazy. Thunderball is such a big one, that almost feels impossible. I have done it the other way around. Where I forgot I had watched something and it started coming back as I watched it, but never the other way around. Now I am so curious to know what you thought of it.

As soon as Bond broke out that jet pack in the opening sequence, having just watched the 3 before it, my first thought was, "well, this is quite a shift!" That more outlandish tone seemed a bit jarring when watching them all together, but...in a good way? Like they felt like they needed to change it up a bit for fear of it growing stale, so they did, and it worked. There was some legitimately cool stuff in this that I hadn't even seen in clips - like that ship-within-a-ship moment. Loved that! Also really enjoyed how much they went for it in that underwater battle sequence. I didn't know who was spearing who half the time, but the director really went for that chaos, lol! I really appreciated that there was an effort in the set-pieces to show audiences something they hadn't seen yet. It kinda reminded me of the current Mission: Impossible franchise in that way.

My main take away from watching these early ones all together though, is that they had a lot more continuity to them than I ever gave them credit for.

COV-19 in the world, but our crooked detective heroes still got a job to do. Miami Nights. Cream suits, buttoned midway.

Detective @C. Lee : You going to talk to that Monica Lewinsky gal?
BN: Takes a deep breathe...Maybe.

[Detective BN voice over]:

White Lambo to the hotel lobby. We go through underground garages.Presidential suite, on deposit. Tax payer money going to a good cause. Elevator up to the room. Shower up and then hit the club. Area code in my phone. What numbers do I still have?Who do I know from the past? Hit one number, she say she got a man. Hit another, it goes dead. Must've changed phones on the team. All good, CLee will look around, find one that seem my type, he's my dawg and he know what I like, he done found me plenty in my life. Problem is, I meet a girl tonight, then I go and treat her too nice. Credit card swipes. I don't even know if she a wife. No air in the night tonight.

I wanna be Izzy Morono. No lines for me?

Actually, I think I'm taking that one back.

Looking back at 3 months ago when I tried Polish duck soup makes me think I would not be fan of Klingon food.

Also, Connery's tailoring in Thunderball is just so epically cool.... Those three piece suits and ankle boots:

Haven't watched these movies in a while but I'm marathoning the Star Trek movies. Just finished Into Darkness and I don't think JJ Abrams knows how far away the moon is. The Enterprise's systems go down when they are next to the moon and then they start falling towards Earth. If they're right next to the moon then they are too far away to just plummet to Earth when their systems fail.

JJ Abrams...is a bad man who wants bad things to happen to all of us.

Random Bond thoughts for the day:

-I'm not gonna say I fell into a YouTube spiral of gyrocopter videos after You Only Live Twice, but I'm not gonna say I didn't.

-I continue to wish George Lazenby had gotten to play this role more than once.

-Can't believe I never knew George Martin did the score for Live and Let Die!

-Moore's Bond was so damned nice compared to Connery's, the contrast really jumps out when you watch them back-to-back.

- The Man with the Golden Gun will never be a fave of mine, but at the very least it has one of the most underrated theme songs.

im going to go ahead and guess CC owns every Bond movie on bluray and every one of them is unopened

George Lazenby was quite good I thought, with time he could have become great in the role.

Except the two whole ones she's seen (Casino Royale and QoS).
