The Force Awakens A Star Wars Thank You Thread

It seems almost impossible, but here we are, less then 25 days from the release of Episode VII. It has been a very long road. Even before the sale to Disney, there was always the question of what happened next to Luke, Han and Leia. One I think most felt like would never be answered, at least on the big screen. Come December 17th, we will finally know. But what has made the last few years bearable for me has been this forum. In a lot of ways, this place is like many a home on Thanksgiving. We have our fun, we tell our old stories on growing up with Star Wars, we have our arguments on everything from TFA to the prequels, and on more then one occasion I have probably come off as the stubborn uncle who you just want to punch in the face. But we have somehow made it work.

I want to give a big thanks to MagnarTheGreat, who has done a masterful job of keeping us all informed on the latest happenings, and has done so while keeping the spoilers away from those who want to avoid them.

Also, thank you to the mods who created this place and everyone who has kept this place going. I wasn't sure a Star Wars forum would work out here, but everyone who post here has proven this place belongs on the Hype! Without this place, I may have never heard danoyse's stories about growing up with Star Wars or get to know posters like Solidus, Broseph44, Snow Queen and many others better.

So thank you all very much and I can't wait to finally discuss The Force Awakens with all of you in less then a month's time.

It is surreal isn't it? The closer we get to TFA the more unreal it seems, many of us have waited decades to see the continuation of our favorite trio.

Every single new screenshot, TV spot or clip has me pinching myself to remember this is really happening. These forums have been great, and I'm sure we have many more adventures ahead. This is just the beginning!

Hard to believe it's almost here already. Sometimes it doesn't even feel real, like I can't comprehend that another Star Wars movie is happening. And not just any Star Wars movie, a movie that show's the return of the Leia, Han, and Luke. Characters that meant so much to me when I was just four years old. Characters I was sure I would never see on the big screen again, and could only read about on a page.

And the best part is, this is only act one!
