Why do they have to mess up everything? If they do remake this, why can't they be Iraq veterans who are framed for a crime they didn't commit?

I really don't see the military actively hunting down four AWOL guys as much as four escaped military convicts. And what's the impetus for them to stick together if they don't have criminal charges, or a bonding experience like their framing or prison time keeping them together? There are countless soldiers opposed to the war, so what makes this new A-Team all that special?

I really wish they would leave it alone. I don't think any remake has really recaptured the magic of the shows they were based on. The remakes exist to merely pull nostalgic fans-me included-into the theatre by milking a popular name or brand.

BSG is the best remake or reimagining I've seen because RDM went beyond the original source material giving us something fresh and adding much needed depth, but at the same time staying true to the original show's premise. And he was able to do this in a miniseries-which is 3 hours without commercials. So, I know that a movie could do the same.
