I feel like not enough of you are remarking about the fact that they're choosing to call themselves by this name!!! This was their choice, of all possible name-changes.

This is like some lame, pretentious, faux edgy teenager changing their name to seem cool around their artsy friends. "No, my name's not Patrick anymore, mom! I'm Freeform now! Get used to it!"

I have never heard of "Becomers" either. Certainly not for any of the reasons they claim to be changing the name to Freeform. Did they consult anyone before choosing this as their new name?

I will give them this though, they needed a name change from ABC Family if they wanted to shed the image they catered to a solely (P)G audience.

I keep seeing promos saying "... on ABC Family, soon to be Freeform" and, even two months later, it's not sounding any less ridiculous.

You can back out of this at any time, ABC Family.
