Rumple brought up the ruby slippers from Oz. The thought of him wearing them to get to our world is hilarious.

I love how the doc's world itself was in black and white.

Nice touch. Another great episode.

Yeah that was great. Was hoping we would get a look at his brother. Now that he was revealed to be Frankenstein, I want some more flashbacks for him.

Liked Emma calling [blackout]Hook out on his bull****. Really looking forward to them traveling up the beanstalk next week to get the compass[/blackout]

Felt really bad for Regina in this one. But at least it was the start of her completely moving on. Really like that she is committed to changing her ways and want to see more sessions between her and Jiminy.

I wonder if his brother is going to be someone specific.

I enjoyed this episode. I always like it when we get more background on characters that arent Snow/Charming. Now if only they could find a way to age Henry and stop him from being so annoying...

I am loving Charming in this season more and more. He gave his grandson a horse :)

And, I am loving that Jefferson got a one up on Rumpel.

How does Frankenstein show up in fairytale land/Storybrooke? Does Mary Shelley have her own world where the characters from her Frankenstein novel actually existed?

The same question could be asked about many different authors.

I am guessing that Jefferson (who I wished had introduced himself as the mad hatter) was jumping worlds and met him and brought him to ftl. And apparently Regina was able to bring whoever she wanted (so I am guessing he was on her list)

At first I thought that Whale was going to be Oz.

And I still have to stick to my thinking that some of these authors or originated the fairytales ended up in each world somehow and ventured back and well here we are with these stories

Really hoping we meet Alice sometime down the road this season.

But Jefferson wasn't the Mad Hatter as this point. Tonights episode was the first time Regina and Jefferson met each other.

Also, I guess tonights episode did confirm one question I had - at the beginning during the conversation with Whale and Charming, Whale asked if ALL the realms/lands still existed. So I guess that confirms that Regina's curse affected all the realms (except Earth) instead of just the Enchanted Forest.

Great episode though!! I loved Rumple's little reference to Dorothy's ruby slippers and I'm guessing the crystal ball must be the Wicked Witch of the West's.

Loved it. Want more of Whale's world. :o:up:

I was thinking his world is either Hammer or Universal Monsters. As to what it is called I don't have a clue.

It's either a Universal (as well as literary) monster world, or Steampunk world. The "science" line makes me lean toward the latter until further notice, but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see stuff like Dracula and such.

I was thinking Steampunk Victorian until they showed his castle then I started leaning towards the Universal monster world. I figure if they were establishing a steampunk world it would be victorian cobble streets and buildings, but, who knows, they could throw in a castle, I suppose.

Given that they didn't show his face, I'm guessing Frankenstein's monster/brother will come into play later in the series, and they just haven't cast the role yet.

Hope so. Just his hand gave me the creeps. Want to see the whole damn thing now.

Wow. Tonite was soooo good! This season gets better and better and better! No doubt in my mind this is the new LOST

Its a long way from being Lost, for me anyways, but its intriguing.

Mainly I'm just meaning in narrative. Twists every episode, character centric episodes, displacing characters early on in the season etc. This show hits a **** ton of Lost's notes beat for beat

Im still leaning towards gothic horror novels.... Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr jekyl and mr hyde, maybe the invisible man, hunchback of notre dame, sleepy hollow, the picture of dorian grey and the works of hp lovecraft and Poe are also here? Did the wolfman or the mummy even ever have books? Because i do think litterary characters are a must for this show....

Id save the "steam punk" world for jules verne and hg wells...... Thats sorta a no brainer to me

And on an artistic pov.... Color is a must for that world.... Browns, Coppers, and Golds play a huge part of setting a look to steam punk
