So what's Maleficent's curse gonna be?

Mal's really should be about revenge... I see her wanting Regina killed, and not carring who she burns, mames or destroys in order to make that happen

So what's Maleficent's curse gonna be?

She sends Regina 2 Galavant's Universe. Where she will be locked up in a dungeon over 9,000 feet underground. She will spend the rest of her days singing & dancing until she dies of hunger

Oh wow did not realize we were that close to a new thread.

Going to bring this over

The ending seemed really weak, at least worded weakly. "The savior Emma will be Ingrids sister" or whatever it said, so of course the Snow Queen would believe it.

If they want to go the whole psychotic route with the Snow Queen, they could do it a little better.

Another curse?

It's what they do best.

"Stay here long enough & you will find out that everybody is related"

That was funny, the writers embracing their inner Glee with that.

So what's Maleficent's curse gonna be?

Bring everyone back to FTL. But no, she shouldn't have any curses to dish out, at least not to the entire town.

I feel that the Frozen stuff has already lost it's luster for me on the show. Like others have already pointed out we seem to be getting a Magneto thing with the Snow Queen AND another curse. It's very, "I've seen this before". That's not a knock on Mitchell who is very menacing and creepy as the Snow Queen. I just feel that her end game should have been different. Not to mention the one intriguing plot thread I really want to see explored, Regina looking into the book and who created and authored it, has been dropped for a bit now.

that's a full season plot though, they'd burn the plot out if they tried to make Regina deal with that in every episode... They mentioned that arc will be over the course of the entire season.. so yea, it's going to be dropped at times

It's not a full Glee until they make the joke, and then keep doing it regardless.

Well, actually, to go full Glee, they'd have to do that, have Emma and Hook get engaged, break them up with little fanfare and then have Hook suddenly start dating Granny. All while making everyone horrifically, horrifically unlikable. Instead of just Regina. :o

Careful Sawyer you are going 2 unleash the full wrath of Milos

Of please. I'm more afraid of Primal going full Lima Heights on me than I am of Milos. :o

Had to wait until this morning, but finished the episode. My review (cross-posted):
Just when I think I know everything there is to know about a particular character and the things that have led them to become the people they are now, the writers consistently find a way to surprise me.

When you're dealing with an ensemble cast that is as large as Once's, using all of those characters/actors often becomes a matter of "quality over quantity", even if/when we're dealing with regular cast members vs. recurring guest stars, and the material that the writers gave Belle last night proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

In analyzing everything we know about Belle's character already in light of what we saw in last night's episode, her experiences in Arendelle absolutely explain why she did what she did in the flashbacks from "Skin Deep", and how she could fall in love with Rumple in the first place, and do so in a way that not only reinforces that love, but also explains and reinforces the character's behavior when she's dealing with people OTHER than Rumple.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm really enjoying the way that the writers have interwoven the characters, concepts, and themes of FROZEN into the Once-verse and found a way to make those characters, concepts, and themes their own while still keeping them completely intact. It only enriches the already-rich mythology that the series has developed, and even if we never see these characters again after this particular storyline reaches its conclusion, the series and its mythology are and will always be better for them having been included in it.

Regina has really come an incredibly long way in a very short period of time, and what she told Robin is the perfect example of that. Even a few short months ago in-universe, Regina could never have told anyone - much less the man she's fallen in love with - that they needed to forget about her, and it's a testament to the way that the writers and Lana Parilla have slowly evolved the character - after a brief 'false start' back at the very end of Season 1 - that you can not only see how hard it is for Regina to say what she's saying, but that she believes that she's now strong enough to say it and that it needs to be said.

The writers continue to make Emma Swan's character better and better with every episode that passes, and anyone who's given up on the series because of certain storylines not going the way they wanted them to is really depriving themselves of a phenomenal viewing experience and the pleasure of watching one of the strongest female protagonists we've had on primetime television in years.

It's an incredible tragedy that the Snow Queen/Ingrid/Sarah Fisher erased her memories of their relationship and the impact it had on her because it's clear that those experiences had a pivotal effect on her ability to love and trust. It's also neat to realize that, had the Snow Queen/Ingrid/Sarah Fisher not erased her memories, the Neverland arc would've played out very differently because Pan would've have been able to manipulate her and the things she confessed to her parents would have been very different.

While we're on the subject of Emma, watching the episode only reinforced my contention that a lot of people have completely misinterpreted the Snow Queen/Ingrid/Sarah Fisher's interest in Emma - and the fact that Emma apparently bears a strong physical resemblance to Helga - as meaning that Emma is somehow Helga reincarnated, which, at least based on everything we see, couldn't be farther from the truth. Emma might resemble Helga, but she's definitely not related to her or to Ingrid, and Ingrid's interest in her is clearly motivated by psychosis and what Elsa referred to as a prophecy, but, when translated, seems to be more of a transcription or journal entry written by Ingrid herself. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens now that the plot is starting to thicken and the battle lines are clearly being drawn, particularly in light of what the promo for next week shows about Emma and her character journey.

Some people might argue otherwise, but this episode was phenomenal from top to bottom, and represents yet another example of how skilled the writers of the series are in being able to surprise audiences just when it seems as if there's no more story to be told about a particular character or group of characters.

Just read that Lizzie from TWD is playing the young Snow Queen. I can totally buy her as a young Elizabeth Mitchell.

So in the promo for next week, Emma has an 'Elsa' moment and loses control of her powers it seems.

I love how creepy evil the snow queen comes across.

The whole family she wants with just her, Emma and Elsa - I can't see it working if them two don't like her, why does she think they will be family with her when she is going to curse the town :/

I did like it we got more of Elsa and Anna's history this week. Felt sorry for Anna, she didn't have any bad intentions and the Snow Queen is going tear her and Elsa apart :(

I actually find the Frozen stuff the most interesting aspect of the season , but that's just me. The sisters are super cute, so I'm kinda biased. I am growing tired of Rumple/Gold always being at the center of every villains plan or origin though. I like the character but it would be nice to have a villain or two who has nothing to do with him or doesn't cross paths with him for a change. Then again, they want all of the villains and new characters to have a connection to the major families in town so inevitably, that means they'll have some contact with Gold and Regina. I'm also interested in seeing about the book and whether or not they plan to resolve the whole Will and Alice storyline from Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

they baby would be maybe 2.. every season of Once isn't a new year... some of it's happened right after the previous season

This show's timeline is only one year in real world time?
