Action Replay User help

so... i have an action replay 3.1 its clear if that helps?

anyways... i've been trying to put in pokemon codes... have tried fire red, saphire and emerald... every code i find... nothing seems to work.. so i wondered if i may be putting them in wrong?

my interface looks like this when i put in a code....

but nearly all places that give the codes, list it as this ...

soo i put them in scrolling down.. first column one, then column 2.. so if thats not right, then maybe the codes are just wrong.. but i've tried alot of places that have 3.1 codes.. and nothing works
