What actors did you feel were perfectly suited for the roles they played??

Mine are as follows:

- Wesley Snipes as Blade
- Kris Kristofferson as Whistler
- Alfred Molina as Doc Ock
- Willem Dafoe as Green Goblin
- Ian McKellan as Magneto
- Patrick Stewart as Prof Xavier
- J.K. Simmons as Jonah Jameson

I felt Tobey Maguire and Michael Chiklis were perfect for their roles.

I can't even possibly imagine anyone other than Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier. He simply WAS that role.

I wasn't to keen on him when they announced it, but the man changed my mind. Tom Jane is Frank Castle. He played the Punisher so well.

If we're talking only Marvel movies:
Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin
Jon Favreau as Franklin "Foggy" Nelson
Thomas Jane as Frank Castle
David Keith as Jack "The Devil" Murdock
Sir Ian McKellan as Magneto
JK Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson
Wesley Snipes as Blade
Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier

If we include DC movies:
Christian Bale as Batman
Sir Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth
Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman
Christopher Reeve as Superman
Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor

Alot of great choices that I would've listed, but how did nobody list Chris Evans as Johnny Storm?!

He fit the role perfectly. :ff:

Marvel:

Dafoe as The Green Goblin
Stuart as Xavier
Romijn as Mystique

DC:

Reeve as Supes
Pfeiffer as Catwoman
DeVito as Penguin (say what you will about the intepretation they went with, but he was perfect even they did a faithful renderring)
Nicholson as The Joker (I frankly couldn't give a flying crap if he didn't look exactly like the character and was older. He gave off the exact vibe needed for the character. Flame me, it's my opinion, I won't lose sleep)
Both Bale and Keaton were perfect for Batman / Bruce IMO, but in different ways. Keaton had the brooding intensity down pat, while Bale gave off the perfect Bruce Wayne aura and also made a highly convincing Batman, though he could work on the voice a bit)
Oldman as Gordon
Freeman as Lucious Fox

Agree with all of these with these ones also:
Romijn as Mystique
Halle Berry as Storm
Famke Janssen as Jean Grey
James Marsden as Cyclops

I pretty much agree with everyones choices except i think they could have picked someone better than Toby for Spiderman.

Also, Chiklis was the only choice for The Thing. He was always my top choice.

Ron Perlman would've been perfect if he were a few years younger.

According to imdb, they also considered James Gandolfini. I can't see that personally.

Instead of Halle, I think Angela Bassett would've been a much better Storm.

I always liked the idea of Topher as Spider-Man.

Kelsey Grammer - Beast
Ron Perlman - Hellboy
Ian McKellan - Magneto
Patrick Stewart - Professor X
Chris Reeves - Superman

Wesley Snipes - Blade
Michael Jai White - Spawn

    1. Ron Perlman - Hellboy
    2. Ian McKellan - Magneto and Gandalf
    3. Chris Reeves - Superman
    4. Chris Bale - Batman
    5. R. Romijn as Mystique
    6. A. Molina - Doc Ock and Tobey as Spidey, of course
Halle Was terrible as Storm...if you wanted to see Storm get her a$$ kicked in 3 movies, then she was great:o

Another one I need to add to my list is Oldman as Gordon. ****ing perfect. Also Freeman as Lucious Fox.

For Marvel

1) Patrick Stewart as Professor X
2) Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus

Patrick Stewart as Xavier
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Famke Jannsen as Jean Grey
James Marsden as Scott Summers
Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborne
James Franco as Harry Osborne
Topher Grace as Eddie Brock
Bryce Howard as Gwen Stacy

it's just a select few for me...

Christopher Reeve as Supes
JK Simmons as JJJ
Gary Oldman as Gordon

it's not that the rest are all bad. most are good, but there are other actors I could've seen do better. even the most accepted ones, like Stewart (I would've prefered William Hurt) and Maguire (they picked the most perfect actor for Spidey as Venom!! urgh!!).

How did I manage to forget Kelsey Grammer as Beast and Gary Oldman as James Gordon?
Cliff Robertson also made a terrific Uncle Ben. Sweet and loving, but he didn't take **** either. Tremendously underrated.
And, for the era Tim Burton was aiming for, Jack Nicholson epitomized the Joker. ("This town needs an enema!" :D)

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine
Tom Jane as The Punisher
Patrick Stewark as Proffessor X
Kelsey Grammer as Beast
J.K. Simmons as Jonah Jameson
Alfred Molina as Doc Ock
Chris Evans as Johnny Storm

Christian Bale as Batman
Christopher Reeve as Superman
Brandon Routh as Superman
Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor
Gary Oldman as James Gordon
Cillian Murphy as The Scarecrow
