The way Rian talked about him in that EW interview makes me think that too. I think we're going to see a lot of what makes him tick, and see more of how complicated he really is. I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah. To me the greatest thing about Kylo is that he's someone you could meet in the real world.

Sure we rag on his temper tantrums and his emoness, but at the same time what can be perceived as neglect can turn people bitter.

I thought Hux would be the one to kill Leia, which would sent Kylo over the age and go against the First Order. That didn't happen in TLJ but I wonder if it could in IX?

No. There shouldn't be any redemption. He should be a total evil badass like ESB Vader by the time Ep. IX comes out.

I dug Ren. More a main thread thought, but the new cast makes me wish these films were set a hundred years in the future, because the fate/screen-time of the OT characters restricts the new cast. 4-6 had to deal with Obi-Wan, these films have three icons plus the ghost of Vader to deal with

Adam did great in a near train wreck for a SW movie. Ugh this makes me wanna view a prequel for a better film.

I really like Kylo Ren and Adam Driver's performance. I like that he can't keep it together and he's very erratic, but I also like this idea that he's tempted by the light more than the dark.
