Would any of you like to see deleted scenes added to the TDK re-release in January 2009?

take a deep breath. ok?
what you saw in the theater was an directors cut.
take it easie.

What deleted scenes? I think there was only one, and it was a short one.

How about the part where Bruce jumps out of the plane into the Hong Kong harbor? What about the part when Joker and his gang leave Bruce's party?

1. Never shot.
2. Lasts 5 secondes. Joker jumps into the car, the driver asks: "what about Harvey Dent?". The Joer replies: "I am a man of my words."
WOOOOOOW.

A new edit of The Dark Knight is not unlikely, but only after Warner Bros has made as much as possible out of the existing version. After all, there's a series of big paydays left for the movie; the re-release, the DVD release (surely it will be one of the biggest selling DVDs ever), Blu-Ray....only after that will they possibly ask Nolan to go back and add a few (and they will be few) deleted scenes. Basic rule of business, you don't bring out an updated product until everybody has bought the old one.

And the first reaction by the fans would be ":cmad: WTF double-dipping!" :oldrazz:

And no, I highly doubt that Nolan would go back and film an additional scene he didn't intend to shoot the first time.

But this could be the first film that does that!!!!!

But adding new scenes can be used as a marketing gimmick to lure more people to watch the film. If they keep it the same, people might not be interested in watching it again.

SINK THE TITANIC!!! (It's all part of the plan)

they did intend to have him jump out of the plane, they just couldn't do it because the Chinese apparently like to pollute their rivers!!

That was just a rumor. Chris said himself that they changed it for story reasons, and that he "has no problem dumping movie stars" into polluted waters. :oldrazz:

lol i see. never heard that before, i'm starting to like him even more!!! :)

Not going to happen. As far as we know, there is only one seconds-long sequence that could be added, and there's absolutely no chance Nolan would agree to film more scenes, effectively tampering with his work to appease a marketing push--and WB would not press him to; he's their golden goose right now. I doubt they'd even want to alter it; if you have a product you think is Oscar worthy, why would you want to mess with it? Why risk it?

exactly Saint.

I don't think Warner Bros would risk pissing off Nolan. Warners need Nolan more than he needs Warners and i can imagen Nolan would tell anyone to go take a running jump if they tried to tamper with his creativity.

I voted teh Republican option in the poll because I thought it was funny on a Batman forum. :o

Chris has said that what was filmed ended up in the film... so I doubt that there is any deleted scenes.

What i'd like to see are outtakes... please...

yea i would love it if on the DVD/Blu-Ray there was a featurette following Heath around the set in full Joker garb between takes. Theres clips of him skateboarding as Joker so i would imagen that will be included, well i hope so anyway.

Warner Bros would be stupid to change the film for the rerelease. Why the hell would they spend so much money to change the movie, print all the new versions, ship them, and market them? They would end up losing money and Oscar cache in the long run.

And somebody change the f***ing poll. This has got nothing to do with politics.

I would have liked to have seen Batman running on top of the cop cars and the Tumbler peeling out of the garage as seen in the Wizard-World footage

I would love to have deleted scenes, no matter how likely it is..

By the Way: to all the people, so many people, saying there are no deleted scenes:
When filming, they film thousands of takes of scenes, surely..then, the producer/director, they decide what takes of what scenes to include, the excluded scenes......ARE DELETED SCENES.

'Deleted scenes' and 'extended cut' are two different beasts. The first one is a feature where you can watch the deleted scenes out of context...it will not change the film in the same way that en extended cut will do.
But I guess you alreaday knew..

Deleted Scenes...no thanks.

January Re-Release...Absolutely. I WISH that would happen.

There must be more deleted scenes than what they are telling us...

But if Nolan doesn't want us to see them, then that is fine.

...The theatrical cut is the directors cut... which is the cut many consider Oscar worthy. DO NOT tamper with it.

No way this will never happen, I try not to speak in absolutes, (as I am a Jedi Knight), but this one you can take to the bank.
